I'm planning on installing ME2 to my HDD so I can cut load times a little, but what is the approximate memory requirement for this? Since it's two discs, I'm afraid my 10 GB allocation wont be enough. And will we have to install both discs or just one?

No the game is actually on 2 discs dracofulcrum.

2 separate discs that you switch in between a certain point

I am under the impression there is a lot of repeated content on the second disc so it shouldnt be too much bigger then any other X-Box game. 10gb should be sufficient unless told otherwise.

I heard it was more than 10gb but that was second hand so nothing concrete I'm afraid.

I imagine it shouldn't take up that much, if so it's time to start deleting videos and stuff you never use. you can also take your arcade games off, you will be able to always download them agin

I'm stuck with the first generation HDD, a mere 13-15GB, so space is tight considering all the DLC i have on it.

Mass Effect comes on 2 discs. At some point in the story you will have to switch discs. I have enough space to install both discs (though I still have to swap for copy protection of course). You can however only install one disc (max ~7GB) and when you have to change the disc put in the second and save the game and go back to the dashboard. There you then delete the first disc and install the second.

There was a post on the old forums from a guy who was at the CES demo claiming the full install was 18GB.

Sounds like faulty console. In all the multiple disc rpgs I have played not a single one has froze on a disc swap.

I was worried about this too. I've got the 13-15 GB HDD as well. So I won't be able to have both discs installed at the same time.

most likely will be sort of like star ocean 4, 3 seperate disks you can install too hard drive and if you want to go back to certain areas you have to switch disks again. I kid you not.

No the disc is only to be swapped once and once again when you want to playthrough the game again or continue after the credits.

According to dev quotes, one will only have to switch discs twice in the game. The assumption is that means once before heading our for the final mission, and again when you finish it.

EDIT: Sniped me, Phoenix.

Dev further in the thread said that was not the case for Xbox 360, he said it would be around 14-15. Afterall the max info the System can install per disc is 6.8 GB

http://www.cheapassg...959&postcount=1

click show spoiler. You will see no size bigger then 6.8 per disc.
