I'm all for happy plastic. It's a video game. If I want realistic I'll look out the window.

We're going to get dragons crown levels of realism all up in here.

I don't mind stylised games but I'd really rather it didn't look like Dragon Age 2, which never really did anything for me in the visual department. There were some instances, particularly with NPC models, where I though Origins simply looked better. And I'm not just talking about the low-poly ones.

What we've seen so far looks great. I like the return to a more Origins-style realism, alongside improved graphics overall.

As much as I like realistic graphics, I don't want Dragon Age to look realistic. Dragon Age really just doesn't fit with a realistic art style, if you ask me.

Kind of the opposite. Trying to go "dark" with the wrong aesthetics undoes everything. DA2 DS are the best example. Looked silly, moved silly, fought silly.

That is a personal preference, some of the most darkest and twisted story lines I have watched/played have had an outrihgt cute style.

In my opinion it just make it better. Beside if a games becomes to realistic visually I begin to wonder about stuff like, with does a fire ball leave a burn skin, no one could survive a fall like that etc. etc... a clear stylized artistic vision makes it easier for me to aspect differnet physic being in play.

I think I liked the DAO body models. Weren't they more realistic than DA2? The art style was more cartoony in DA2 but it didn't effect the companions that much.

I'm all for more realism in DAI and apparently there will be more details on the face at least.

Again I'm confused what you mean by realistic. The face and bodies looked fine in DAO although some bodies were shared.

Hey, Osamu Tezuka would usually use gags that make Jar Jar brilliant by contrast in the middle of very dramatic situations, and his style looked kind of childish, and it didn´t detract. Often it was the only thing that helped you keep reading such events. But he was the kind of author who is jus in another level. Imho, BW doesn´t have it.

I don't mind too much if they don't look realistic. DAO appearances never bothered me. I just hope the outfits look appropriate for the occassion. Armor that looks functional. Clothing appropriate for the environment. That sort of thing.

I mean, I have nothing against it, but "How will this cosplay?" probably shouldn't be the #1 priority on outfits.

That is intentional.

Letho is given an appearance that automatically makes the player associate him with being a dumb brute and underestimate him, meanwhile he is a chessmaster who up until the end is always one step ahead of Geralt, and whose schemes are bringing down kingdoms.

In realism, do we mean bouncing boobs?

Or warts, moles, zits, wrinkles and broken teeth?

The second is more realistic.

Okay, I'll bite. How are zits more realistic than bouncing boobs?

I'd like my fiction to be filled with incredibly attractive characters, please. That means flawless skin, shiny hair, gorgeous eyes, slender waists, and yeah, full breasts wouldn't hurt either. Nice deep voices for the guys and plenty of muscle.

if you are talking about actual "realism" and breasts - there's a reason why ladies use sport bras.

so you are, ironically, asking for breasts that *appear* smaller and held together/down for support.

how thoughtful. <3

This most likely has been mention in another forum but I'm wondering, for the CC of DA:I would do more customizing for the character besides the face or head structure. Like the person's height, body structure, and whatnot.

But how little clothing should they wear?

Enough so that it isn't baggy or bulky.
