By popular request.  It is difficult to find completed mods that are ready to play amongst all the projects here.  Until we can get a better system for surfacing them, here is a sticky topic listing mods that are currently available for download.

This thread is reserved for actual standalone playable modules.  If you are aware of others that are ready to play, either fully released or even in a Beta state, please respond to this topic with a link.   In order to keep this thread uncluttered, I will mercilessly :devil:delete all other posts, even if you are just saying thanks for creating this sticky.

Clarification on criteria for a project to be listed here:
The project needs to have actual playable content that is currently available for download. It does not matter whether the content extends single player or is completely independent. If it adds a new adventure or quest for the player to explore and play in, then it belongs here. A new sticky thread ( List of currently available game mods)has been created for things that override head morphs, weapons, armour, creatures, combat balance etc that do not add new playable content, but rather modify the game experience in some way.

Does that mean only adventures or any completed standalone mod that isn't something along the lines of yet another follower face morph? (Not that there's anything wrong with those.)

Anyway, feel free to delete my post to keep this thread about suggestions instead of arguing about what belongs, but clarification would be helpful - I take it the hint's in the word standalone, but just the same. If I might be so bold as to suggest two stickies... one for adventures and one for substantial mods of any other variety - or just at the bottom of the original post but in another list.

Right. Here is mine, The Hammer and Anvil Inn (http://social.biowar...m/project/1339/). I wouldn't say it's finished, but it is playable, though short :) Just waiting till I get more time to add more to it. Oh, and thanks for the sticky :devil:

Enigma Battle Dungeon and Arena is not an standalone module, it is an extension of the SP campaign.

OT: the megaupload link says the file's 130 MB, but I think you get project space here depending on the category (or maybe a random number generator). My first project in the DA Utilities category barely had enough space for anything, but my current one under addons has > 400 MB supposedly.

DA Quest is a good stand alone mod with completely different mechanics. Definitely worth playing.

Gay Bar of Ferelden is in the alpha stage, but it's playable. You can create your own character, have followers join you, shop at merchants, and finish a few quests. The quests aren't all complete, but some are.

In this mod you have....


More than 1900 dialog lines by Ser Gilmore! 
Pc initiated and Gilmore initiated talks; distributed throughout the game.
THREE different paths!! Friendship, committed romance (this is true love), or open relationship path (you can all have fun with other party members too) for both males and females. The three paths are different and lead to different endings!
Fun stories, gifts and interjections.
Different endings and epilogues.
Full voice over, cutscenes, face animation and what have you.
A NICE ending (for a change) :-) and continuity in Awakening.

Choose your path - the Crimson Blades, a group of powerful Blood Magi, or the Justicars, elite templars dedicated to exterminating Blood Magic. Each path has a unique quest line. At the end of both paths, a bonus mode is unlocked that, if your party is strong enough, can give you many rewards.

I agree, the list could use an update. And yes, I recommend slapping my project - the DAQuest: Master's Desire up there - especially now as it has been fully voiced.

Introducing The Last Stand module.



A survival addition - or should I say, conclusion, to the single player

campaign. Fight to the death against waves of Darkspawn, earning

Slaughter Points as you do so to purchase allies for your Last Battle.

Released.



The Dwarven Kingdom has been breached, and Darkspawn

have begun to pour in by the hundreds. Their civilians will be helpless

unless the Last Grey Warden makes the ultimate sacrifice: Fighting to

the very end to buy the dwarves time, or just to satisfy your own

bloodthirst.



This is the ultimate test of your "perfected"

character and party. How many rounds can you last for? Will you save

your Slaughter Points to purchase a mighty golum ally, or spend them

early to buy a Mabari hound or two?



I will be compiling a top 10

list of those who've reached the highest levels: to submit for this

list, send me a screenshot showcasing the Round you made it to (it

shows over your character's head at the beginning of each round).



Remember, this is a contest to the death: Save before you embark upon it!

Shadows over Telia is a fully voiced stand-alone DA Playable module.



A Gray Warden arrives in the town of Telia to investigate rumors of darkspawn. As he gets close, the sky begins to turn red and black as though this town was a source of a blight. As he arrives on the outskirts of the town he runs into the shattered remnants of the town guard in a chantry. From there thing go from bad to worse.

Dark Times Team Presents - Dragon Age: Dark Times Act I

A search for a cure to the eventual death sentence that comes as a result of the Joining leads the Grey Warden to the Confederacy of Malkuth, a loose collection of city states which exists south of Ferelden, beyond the Uncharted Territories.

ACT I - The Gift of Time

Note:
In order for the first quest of the mod to activate you must have completed the Broken Circle Quest in the Origins campaign. Any save loaded post Broken Circle Tower should activate the content. When the mod is installed, it will be located on the DLC tab on your Dragon Age menu.

Features:
- A lore based addition to the Dragon Age Origins campaign.
.- Three new companions and a new pet.
- DAO companion interaction with the new story line
- 2 new specializations- FadeWalker and Necromancy (available to all classes)
- New school of magic - Hellblazer
- 32 areas to explore - mostly new but there are a few vanilla levels which have been adapted and used in new ways.
- The introduction of a new story arc for your Origins Warden and companions which takes place over the course of a five act narrative which will be released in sequential mods.
- Tie ins with Extended Community Canon Mods - The Bloodworks, Ser Gilmore Recruitable NPC, The Shattered War, Alley of Murders.
- Thousands of lines of recorded dialog.
