The Witcher series has a very similar concept of elves, you might like that.

Weeeell to some degree. There's still a bit genericness over some of them.

I mean when you first meet Iorveth in TW2 he plays a flute while sitting in a tree.. Seriously man :P

Im really hoping we have the chance to eradicate the Dalish once and for all. In the trailer the Inquisition was raiding a grey warden keep. Hers hoping we can storm a Dalish base or destroy whats left of their history.

Really? I was hoping to give them their own homeland.

Not genocide. Just destroying their culture or at least doing some serious damage(since were visiting the Dales). Either way im hoping we gget to do some pretty f*cked up things to the elves in the game. Similar to screwing over the Krogan and geth/Quarians in ME3.

Oh, you want to play as Vaughan Kendells?

there's no perception its how the race were created and intended to portrayed, its the whole intent of their existence. its to put across the idea that there is something fundamentally flawed with humanity. slaughtering them is metaphorically rejecting such ideology.

No, slaughtering them is genocide, and definitely proves that there's something fundamentally wrong with humanity.

Elves are the master race!,we shall rise again and purge the Shemlens from Thedas!

I'm also very interested in Arlathan and the places you can go to with the Eluvian, and see how it's connected to the Taint.

I can agree with that.

I'm pretty sure Bioware's not gonna let you commit genocide. The eradication of the Dalish is just too big a variable.

And from what was said in TME, barely any of the Dalish live in the Dales currently as well.

I need the character creator before actually deciding, though they look okey for now I guess.

If there's an Arlathvhen taking place, there may be many clans in attendance. Given the recent interview mentioning how helping Orlais would sour relations with the Dalish (possibly as a hypothetical or actual example of the narrative), perhaps the reverse is possible and the Inquisitor may be able to help the Dalish.

Yes. Im hoping to burn down their homeland or at the very least destroy whatever left of  their Heritage. And ill do this with Solas and Sera in my party.

Tevinter already sank one homeland, and Orlais occupied the second, which is now their province. Unless you can help the elves reclaim the Dales, or your Dalish Warden had his people gifted with the Hinterlands, I don't think it's possible to burn it down.

Sera and Solas likely aren't Dalish; they may be religiously Andrastian. It's possible they may be curious about the elven religion, but I don't think either one may initially have much familiarity with it. I guess my Inquisitor would be the antithesis of yours; I'm actually thinking about having Solas and Sera accompany my elven Inquisitor to the Dales.

Which always confuses me about the focus on Orlais and the Dales.

Well the Dales are remotely attainable. Arlathan is not.

We will see but at the very least im hoping we could at least deny them their homeland. Sera and Solas are elves and it would be interesting to see the reactions towards my Inquisitor disdain towards them especially in the Dales(im hoping for a situation similar to the Lelianna fiasco at the Urn of Sacred Ashes). But yes the elves are in for a rude awakening.

Unless either one of them turns out to be Dalish, I don't think they would necessarily have the same reverence for religious artifacts from the Dales as a Dalish more likely would, especially if the elven pantheon is foreign to them (in the same way religiously Andrastians Leliana and Wynne react to the sight of the Urn of Sacred Ashes). I don't even know how Solas and Sera will react to an elven Inquisitor, given the varying views about the Dalish among the city elves, which range from the perception of them as savages to almost mythical figures.

Hahaha.

"It will be interesting to see how characters respond to my racism towards them."

I would think that would be an obvious, foregone conclusion.

Personally I'm really happy. Think the female elf in particular looks beautiful. They no longer look like humans with pointed ears like in DAO or anorexic like in DA2. What are your thoughts?

They're not hideous mutants with over-sized ears like in DA2 so yes I like this direction.

They remind me of FFXI/FFXIV Elvaan/Elezen. I personally like that, but I'm sure there's quite a few detractors.

Oh no, trust me, you've made it quite clear.

I just thought your word choice was funny. I mean, barring some sort of internalised hatred for their own racial group, I think it's pretty safe to assume that Sera and Solas will act negatively.

I mean, that's not "interesting", that's how anyone would act if you were blatantly racist towards them.

Remember kids, if you hate a fictional species, you are a racist.

It will be interesting, to me of course, i love seeing characters reactions when i show disgust toward them. It will especially be even more intriguing when i play as an elf.
