I'm pretty sure an elven army could accommodate my Dalish Inquisitor entering the Winter Palace.
Remember what happened the last time the elves marched on Val Royeaux? You had the Dales taken from you and were made vagrants. ![]()

Really tempted to play one first, and swap out my "canon" Warden from Dalish to dwarf. Have a hero for every race, if you will (except Qunari. Because they're not heroes. They're terrible people.).
Plus, the deluxe edition gets a Halla mount. I need to put that to use. No stinking Shem should be riding that.
I like them.

The Winter Palace is in the Dales. In Halamshiral, specifically.
If that recent interview did give a valid example from Inquisition (as opposed to a hypothetical one, about siding with Orlais and losing Dalish support, implying a reverse may be possible), the protagonist may be able to provide the People with a homeland again. ![]()

Well, a short distance from Halamshiral to be precise, but yeah.
As for the topic: I very much love them looks-wise (although the male example head's got a very creepy expression going on), but I like my elves small (like in Greyhawk et al.), so I'm disappointed that they are pretty exactly human-sized now (like in Forgotten Realms), but at least they aren't tall elves (like in Pathfinder et al.), which I loathe with a passion. Still, anything is better than the anorexic aquatic donkey-cat aliens in DA2.

Oops, got my castles mixed up there. ![]()
I've relieved. Pretty much everyone except Fenris and Merrill looked really weird. So far, I think they look lovely.
