I was referrign to more then elves, But elves are just the major thign i see people want tot go back to being generic.

The main thing I hated about the DA2 elves wasn't their ugly faces (I actually like Skyrim elf faces despite them being ugly) but their bodies. The shoulders were way too narrow, especially on the females where the head-to-shoulder width was comparable to a toddler's. The necks were way too long and yet they were very thick when compared to the arms, legs, and body. It just didn't mesh well and looked like an unnatural failure. I would much rather keep "beautiful humans with pointy ears and no facial/body hair" than a light bulb with fish eyes on a stick body.

It's different from the usual but that doesn't make it unique, it's an almost straight ripoff of Avatar, just done very badly.

But why can't be there a middle ground like what DA:I is doing?Also Zevran had a major case of uncanney valley and butterface,if my Elven Female Mage Warden saw what he looked like in DA2 then she would find some sort of spell to change him back.

When you have dwarves who are nothing but small humans <_<

And Zervran suffered the same issue as the other DA2 elves

It is a a bad thign cause thats not what they are. They are a diffrent race.


When you have dwarves who are nothing but small humans


They arent that ether, their bone structures and head structures are clearly diffrent. almost all Dwarves have more bulbus noses, and smaller eyes, they all look distinct, they don't just look like a short human they have a unique phisiology.

You don't have to turn them into mutants in order for elves to look different which is something some people seem to be obessed over.

Being a different race doesn't change anything, Elves has always been referred to as "humans with pointy ears" in certain setting

 Human/Elf hybrid have slightly pointed ear.The point is elves can have children with humans which means they aren't that different biologically.

Allister Dosen't , the kid in DA2 didn;t.

Biolgicaly dosen't mean any thign since its magic, it has been stated that there ofspring aren't hybrids, they are human, Elves are/were beings of magic, there genetics are only magic if ther epure, if you dilute it with human blood all you get is a human.

Humans by there nature need to be gneric so we can relate to them.
