Hi All,
The post title says it all really.
I want to be able to place some of the feats I have created in the players quickslots at the start of the game.
I see different PCs have different icons in their quickslots when they begin the game. I guess this information must be in a 2da file somewhere.
Any ideas where I can find this info to add my own?
Many thanks,
Lance.
QUICKSLOTS - How do you make an icon start there for a player?

From my own futzing about with it: I believe any feat that's marked as 1 in the "OnMenu" column in the cls_feat_*.2da's should appear on the quickbar when a new character is created. The Heal skill will always appear in slot #1 unless you mark it in skills.2da as a non-active skill.

Hi Vermain,
Thanks for this information, I will be sure to check it out.
I will only respond again if cannot get it to work from this head's up info.
Lance.

Hi Again,
OK, I tried adding a line to test this, and, unfortunately, it did not add the icon to the quick slot.
I must add that the feat in question is one of my own that I have defined, and it works as it should in every other way. I just wanted it to start on the player's quick slot bar.
Thanks,
Lance.

Quick check:
1) Is the new feat set to be granted on level 1 in the cls_feat_*.2da? Is OnMenu set to 1? Both of these appear to be necessary. Icons won't appear on the quickbar if granted after level 1.
2) Are you making a brand new character to test this with? They'll have to be newly made in order for the feat to appear.

Hi Vermain,
I tried setting GrantedOnLevel to 1 and -1 ... and OnMenu was always 1.
I just tried creating a new cleric (the class I am currently testing) and it still did not add the feat to the quickbar. NB: It is (and always has been) added to the right-click menu bars OK, and I can drag the icon from the "C" character sheet to the quick slot OK. I just cannot get the icon to start in the quickslots without making the player have to put it there .... so far.
EDIT: I noticed here http://nwn.wikia.com.../Cls_feat_*.2da it says that the OnMenu does the "radial" menu; maybe there is another place for "quick slot" menu?
Thanks again,
Lance.
