Wow that is some awesome art! I could totally see Leliana wearing something like that in a bigger battle.Wulfram wrote...

(Given the rose symbolism, I'm tempted to see this as Leliana if she did some Loghain style class switching)

We know that mages can wear heavy armor, so I would love something like this
If they bring back the Arcane Warrior, I would like my human mage to look somehow like this
Gimme!!!! I want it!!!
And where did you find the second one?
Edit: And the first one is a Tevinter armor belonging the Altus mage nobility, so we might see some of that in the game.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

I'd like Morrigan's top half, Isabela's bottom half but those cloth bits longer and DEM THIGH HIGH BOOTS MUST BE UP FOR GRABS!!1!!!11!
If an outfit like that is in the game I'll be sooo mega super-duper-poopering extatic.
..Though upon the realization that there are no such clothes equippable in the game I shall resign to the darkness of the loft, hug my knees to my chest and weep heavily. This shall continue until my tear ducts dry up and perish, luckily I'll have collected all my tears to mail to you guys at Bioware for your coffee, or any beverage really.

Ooh, I like this one. It's beautiful yet practical, having no real weak spots other than the usual suspects in all armors.DominusVita wrote...

This would be nice for rogues. Anything lighter but that covers more of the body would be welcome.
Stuff like this

Would be welcome for warriors as well, non-massive heavy armor without the dumb additions or unnecessary attachments.
Just plain, regular, dull and pragmatic looking pieces to balance out the more inventive ones.

I would like some realistic armor options.
But I'd still like to keep some of the more hardcore fantasy/unrealistic armors too.
For the Player Character or NPC's as well? You get, for a lot of people, a strong feeling of 'dissonance' if you mix pseudo-realistic visuals with some exaggerated / heavily stylized designs. If it's just the player character, well, that's up to personal taste I guess. But money being finite, there may be a risk that the range of options each for people of 'pseudo-realistic', 'over the top' and 'somewhere in between' will be too small to be really satisfactory for anyone.
I'm probably going out on a limb here, but I suspect that most 'extremists' will be satisfied with pseudo-realistic armour that looks sufficiently intimidating and / or pretty, while the 'realists' will totally reject the opposite.
In both cases, great gameplay and/or story may lessen the hurt, of course.
(Not that I expect DA:I to be 'pseudo-realistic'. It's a bit of a mix so far, it's too early to tell where its place on the sliding scale of pseudo-plausibility is going to be)
I can kind of deal with some over blown armour for lords, kings, etc in non-battle situations, as 'unrealistic'
armor was worn as a costume, you can find wonderfully silly faces on helms for instance,
