Butt capes and trench coats...must have butt capes and trench coats, and hoods lots of hoods. Maybe a trench coat with a butt cape and a hood?
A trenchcoat with a buttcape? Boy, you will have one hell of a tail dangling from your arse.

And of course shiny armours.

I think Dragon Age mostly needs better helmets, hoods and robes, though.

Also, I always thought Teutonic Knights looked great, their winged helms kinda of reminded me of the Grey Wardens. I would like to see something similiar, maybe with the templar symbol in place of the cross.

Leather armor, Dalish/Duster armor, studded leather armor, scale armor, chainmail, heavy chainmail, massive dwarven armor (more colors this time), heavy plate.
But more importantly, bring back the standard "metal kite shield". It was the only stylish-looking shield. I hate the round ones, and those green shields from DA 2.

But I'm only half-serious about that.
I'd like hoods for rogues. Or armors that have capes. Or maybe you can buy a cape that you can attach to certain armors.
I want to look fancy.

I've never been a fan of the "over the top" fantasy armors, with exaggerating armor details such as horns, spikes, flames, etc. But considering DA is a fantasy game it is to be almost expected. But the problem is not really the exaggerated designs of armor pieces, but it's the lack of any real consistency. A important factor for me when it comes to portraying different cultures, characters and races is not to simply focus on their e.g. religions, motives, social system, etc, but also on their armor / clothing design which DA lacks to a large part.
DA (and many other fantasy games as well) tend to have a design philosophy that is dictated by having the armor look more badass and cool, rather than focusing on it being dictated by the story, characters, countries, etc. DA2 did this better than DA:O, but still felt very lacking in the area. So if DA:I can manage to pull some real consistency in the design department of individuals, I'd be much happier.

And don't do the SWToR, ME2 & ME3 cop-outs when it comes to body types for the genders.

Not every character is a Warrior, you know.
I could argue the same thing about Mage robes, as they're not strictly armour either.

If it shows up, I will SO name my protagonist Bernadette after this guy, whose surname is sometimes spelled "Bernadette" thanks to inconsistent translations:

(Thank goodness Bernadette is a female French name and part of the game takes place in Fantasy France!
If the Bard specialization returns, I'll take it as a double-homage to Bernadette Peters.
