I personally would love to see Bioware introduce something called Revenant Armor. The Revenants are powerful desire or pride demons inhabiting the corpses of the fallen, and as such, share the same strengths and weaknesses as creatures like devouring corpses, and fanged skeletons. Give me an awesome set of armor based upon that, and in particular a helmet akin to Helm of Honnleath but having the longer wings on the side.

I think Dragon Age mostly needs better helmets, hoods and robes, though. 

I would do anything in the game to get this armor and that sword:P.

Based upon that image, it occurs to me that having a really cool cloak over awesome armor would be highly desirable as well!

(*) Probably won't work in DA:I. In fact, 100% likely it won't. I've seen no info (to date) saying they're adding capes and cloaks to the game, either. 

Thing is, if more people had capes, perhaps they wouldn't see the swords hanging in the air from their backside.

I agree. The designs that look practical also look better than the more outlandish stuff that would either be impossible to fight in, or offer no protection.

















With this one I'd use the left side pauldrons on both sides, and the right armguards on both sides. Otherwise it looks great:

I don't think capes animate well enough to be worth it, yet. If they don't billow in the wind in a dramatic fashion, what's the point?

But maybe there's some super tech in Frostbite to fix that.
