I'm surprised that no one has listed any Dark or Demon's Souls armors...
I linked a pic of the Emerald Herald from Dark Souls 2 in my list on the previous page. ![]()

How about some Persian/Iranian armor? Especially from the Sassanid Empire and some later Empires.
I've always like leather armor, perhaps something like this

Or like the fallout designs

That leather codpiece... I really hope it's a thong at the back, for it shall become mandatory for all males in my team to wear it.
This one would look good.
Yes a bit of fur on my armor goes a long way for style.

At least it will keep you warm, I think. xD

Something like that. It would be great for a rogue.
There are a few from various mods that I think look lovely, don't know what games/media they are originally from. I think they'd make great mage robes though.

I want this for Rogue armor

I also want that Knife....

That would be really cool for a new Mass Effect.

I did a couple pages ago =p
From what the player wears, not so much. From what the bosses wear, absolutely. Ornstein and Artorias would make glorious armors for a templar or reaver. Priscilla's gown or Gwyndolin's robe might be good for a mage? They're good options to take inspiration from, though some of the PC's armors were laughable.
I'll admit Demons Souls had awful armor design, but Dark Souls had some amazing designs and clothing for the player -

That isn't even my full list. But Dark Souls is infamous for hiding items in obscure places; I didn't even see a large portion of the armors on my first playthrough.
I'd like to see armor without effing spikes and angles all over it. I want to see more realistic, practical, and lighter armors across the board. The armor the Orlesians wear in MotA is the right direction.
For mages, no full robes. Full robes are nice for sitting around a tower all day but make no sense for traveling. Cloth shouldn't go much further than knee-length. Fugitive's Mantle is the best mage armor to date in DA, imo, and I'd like to see more stuff like that.
Honestly, after seeing the Inquisitor's armor in the gameplay video I'm pretty worried about the heavy armor designs. It looks like they're committed to the Uruk-hai knockoff look introduced in DA2.
Still hoping they toss in Zaeed's armor as a tribute to Robin Saches.

More fur, less steel.

But we aren't playing Barbarians!
Mail and Plate are the armors of the day!
Not Leather and cloth!

Not barbarian necessarily. I like a mixture of the two. I like the direction DA2 went with Hawke's (trailer) armor or some of the DLC armors. Also the Inquisitor's armor seems to be lined with fur. I just don't care for the old DAO all plate look.
I'd like more realistic-looking armour. It doesn't have to be 100% realistic but it has to look like fully functioning armour, meaning no spikes, no over-sized pauldrons or gloves, etc. Mages should have some light armour but not too much of it (as in it shouldn't be equal to the rogues and warriors).
Most important of all, no one in the game (NPC or PC) should look like a stripper in their armour. Most guys wouldn't like to go out into battle in a chainmail speedo, right? Well, unsurprisingly, most women don't want a chainmail bikini either. Some of the female mage pictures (not all) have been sort of stripperific even if they weren't on bikini-level but just because they're mages doesn't mean they should have to put up with it either. If we girls have to put up with skimpy armour, then so should guys.
Just...please....for the love of the Maker....Don't make the mage robes so bulky this time around! I don't care if you make them half-naked or clothed from neck to toe...but please refrain from bulky masses. D;
P.s. I'm female and I'd love me some armorkini's. Nothing too naked though, like buttcracks hanging out for instance.....
I thought this was kinda funny - Matt Rhodes just posted this up on his Tumblr: http://mattrhodesart...mor-bingo#notes

I always thought Xena did "armorkinis" right. Not too overboard. Similar to DAO rogue armor in some ways.
