Wait a Second... Isabella didn't wear Pants? I always thought she'd wear some leathery Pants that had a Color close to the (somewhat strange) Color of her Skin.

Nope.

No pants.

Which is stupid considering she sits in raggedy old wooden stools most of the time. Baffled she didn't get a splinter.

Nope, no pants. I always wondered if it was because she was too busy having relations to bother with pants, haha.

ooh, a splinter in sensitive areas does not sound enjoyable.

I was thinking of Isabella in DA2, and instead of her going panstless, I would have loved to see her in something more... buccaneer than bedroom.

I personally like Isabela's DA2 outfit, but some of her concept art designs were really good

I loved her top, I just didn't understand why she walked around in just her underwear.

Because Bioware wanted an iconic look, and 3/4 naked women are entirely uncharted territory in video games.

I wouldn't mind being able to dress my mage like that. Or in an entirely blood-red version of Morrigan's Inquisition gown with less cleavage, if I think the character would work best in that outfit. Or being able to pick one or the other.

I just want my armor look the same delivered in concepts or CG's videos ... and not become like the elephant  :(

I love this design, though in game, I kept wondering what held the shoulder pauldrons in place.

I would also like to vote for more pants for mages. There were several robes I really liked... and a lot that were not nice at all and I didn't really understand why Hawke would be running around in them outside. Either too fancy/bulky or too... ugly.

Also, I found it strange that f!Hawke's house robe had a short skirt considering that Isabela is literally the only other person who doesn't wear leggings/pants/long robe/long skirt and Bela actually appears to have simply put on a shirt and forgone clothing for her bottom half. If short skirts are acceptable fashions, why does no one else wear them? If they aren't, why isn't f!Hawke wearing pants just like m!Hawke? Or at least a longer skirt?

Personally, I prefer sleeker, simpler armor styles over the big flashy ones. Also more mixed and light materials (padded cloth, leather, chain, scale) over full plate. Full plate was never really intended to be something you wandered around in for extended periods of time. It's heavy, it's hot, and it makes loud clanking noises. I'd be okay for seeing it as a ceremonial/special occasion set (like some of the fancier medieval armors people have put up) or as something the Inquisitor used when riding into large, battlefield-style combat, but not really as an everyday wandering-around-the-countryside type of thing.

Here's a couple of things I'd like to see some inspiration taken from.

King Hiss from MotU.  To me it's a nice simple armour design with a touch of flare that adds a lot of character.  Though my one nitpick would be the red superhero undies on the outside.  Perhaps that part could be more in line with the updated look of King Hiss (http://news.toyark.c...07/DSC09481.jpg).

DSC_0521-400x601.jpg DSC_0518-400x601.jpg

Whilst I'm not wanting our Inquisitor to end up looking like a Snakeman, I would like to see some armour options that are a bit more bare, more barbarian/Conan-esque in style.  I quite like the top half of the armour on this guy here, but would prefer our Inquisitor to be more covered up on the bottom half.

Spoiler for size.

Spoiler

And throw in a custom Battle Armour Skeletor and standard Battle Armour He-man. lol

Also, on a separate note, I would have to agree with some of the sentiments shared in this thread.  I could really do with less of the silly spike fetish (DA2 Darkspawn & Champion armour, I'm looking at you) or the ginormous pouldrons and various ill-fitting armours.  Sadly when it comes to the proportions of some of the previous armous with their spikes and pouldrons it all seems a bit Liefeld-esque in their designs.  From what I've seen so far of DA:I (not that I've seen it all), it does seem as though they're steering away from the more ill-fitting armours.  So hopefully that's not a real concern.

Oh and hair like that would be fine as well and isn't "too long" I don't think.

I think both the hair and the outfit should fit the "not impractical" standards being set.

Might lessen the heels some, and put some kind of gloves on, but other than that I think it should be acceptable.

Pity Star Wars Battlefront 3 isn't coming sooner, otherwise I could get a code from it to wear this armor in Dragon Age Inquisition. Am I right?

I'd adore something like this--

You can still see her shape because of the belt but there's no boob cups or boob bulge, and it's entirely practical. (To me it was never realistic that warriors ran around Ferelden/Kirkwall in who knows how many pounds of plate) Maybe a bit to realistic for a fantasy genre game, but I still love it.

Ah, I love that picture. Had a cropped version of it I used to use as a portrait back in BG(2) for some of my female characters. And yes, this is exactly how warriors should look IMO. Much prefer the more early-medieval look, with heavy use of mail, and only the odd bit of plate here and there than the ridiculously exaggerated late medieval where even generic guardsmen are tooled out in full plate (and over-the-top full plate at that).

For mages, less matronly garments. Can we bring mages into the modern century? They look like devout sisters of the Chantry. Male mages should wear like a long flowy coat and lots of neck jewelry. Maybe two or three different sashes/belts. Tights. Long boots. The women should be able to flash some leg for goodness sake. I'd like to see a female mage in a tight buttoned-up jacket with a corset, a cage-wire skirt with stockings and pointed heeled ankle-length boots.

My female age wouldn't be caught dead wearing that.
