Here's a couple of things I'd like to see some inspiration taken from.
King Hiss from MotU. To me it's a nice simple armour design with a touch of flare that adds a lot of character. Though my one nitpick would be the red superhero undies on the outside. Perhaps that part could be more in line with the updated look of King Hiss (http://news.toyark.c...07/DSC09481.jpg).

Whilst I'm not wanting our Inquisitor to end up looking like a Snakeman, I would like to see some armour options that are a bit more bare, more barbarian/Conan-esque in style. I quite like the top half of the armour on this guy here, but would prefer our Inquisitor to be more covered up on the bottom half.
Spoiler for size.
And throw in a custom Battle Armour Skeletor and standard Battle Armour He-man. lol

Also, on a separate note, I would have to agree with some of the sentiments shared in this thread. I could really do with less of the silly spike fetish (DA2 Darkspawn & Champion armour, I'm looking at you) or the ginormous pouldrons and various ill-fitting armours. Sadly when it comes to the proportions of some of the previous armous with their spikes and pouldrons it all seems a bit Liefeld-esque in their designs. From what I've seen so far of DA:I (not that I've seen it all), it does seem as though they're steering away from the more ill-fitting armours. So hopefully that's not a real concern.
