Take a look at this:




Despite being a fanart piece, the armor coneption itself is solid. No spikes of villiany protruding, no contraproductive exposed parts, shield hand is enforced with additional plate whilst sword hand trades some protection for more freedom of movement. The toss some nice clothing on top of it all and violá, awesome looking armor that's entirely practical.

I would like -actual- battle mage armor. Similar to the champion mage armor. I'm sick of wearing dresses. And I'd like my rogues to be in more... roguish gear. Hoods would be a plus. I don't play warrior a lot, those I typically play as men (sexist, I know! I'm a woman!) But I just don't like the way heavy and massive armor is on the women in the DA universe.

DA2 took it in the right step, but not enough for me to like it.

If I had to choose one I'd say the Templar Armor, in every da game they barely placed the armies in the game and they were in the lower quality in the mid game in both. I'd like the idea of a better one since the full plate had always looked awesome in the game. Since they announced faction armors so in some way I'm hoping if you side templar then a good armor will be your reward

Here's a random assortment of styles I like.
I also loved, from Dragon Age itself, the DA2 Warden armour and robes (all four styles), Guardian of Enaslin rogue armour, Act 1 starting rogue armour, Champion robes, Merrill's outfit, Sebastian's outfit, Marethari's robes, turquoise mage robes (the type Bethany wears in the Circle), all the DLC armour/robes (especially Arms of the River Dane, Fugitive's Mantle and the huntsmens' outfits from MotA)

Skyrim's light elven armour (minus weird neck-protector and random helmet). Their Nightingale armour is also lovely.
Brienne's armour from Game of Thrones, the different layers being especially pleasing.

Scholar Ling's outfit (minus boob window) from Jade Empire. Love the collar, sleeves, corset and trousers. 
Triss Merigold's outfit from... one of the the Witcher games. I've noticed it referenced as a good mage outfit several times, and it is lovely and practical.


And a leather breastplate I found on the internet one day. Simple, but good. I particularly like that you could combine it with other armour.

The thing is i dont get why everyone wants 'realistic' old full plate armour and stuff, because i'm pretty sure a band of 4 people wouldnt track halfway across a continent in full plate. yes for big battle some people would wear that, but for a travelling people would have worn a lot less armor.

Anyway i knwo this armor isnt exactly realistic or would be good armor in real life, but it looks cool
