[Random fun] What is your (personal) greatest fear when it comes to DA:I?

2. That those who prefer the possibility of best of all worlds outcome (a happy ending, as it were) will be ignored in favor of "artistry" as we were in ME3.

Having to experience something like that again would kill me on the inside.
Why not just indirectly ask the player how they prefer a story to end? Then we have the best of both worlds...

No kidding.
I always thought whether or not Shepard died at the end of ME3 should depend on a dialogue decision during the conversations with your squadmate. They would ask Shepard if, in her heart, she really thought she was coming back from this mission. Shepard's response would determine what ending you got. It would allow the player the ability to tailor the ending as they wished.
Obviously, there were other problems with ME3's ending, but that sounds like the kind of thing you're talking about.

I would prefer it to be a bit more direct then that though, just to make sure. Like one of the characters asking you how you like a book to end. In the example of Dragon Age, Varric could come up to you and ask.
"How do you like your endings? Do you like them sad or happy?"
Obviously with more body to it but you get the gist. It would just feel so much better to get the kind of ending I want. I want a happy ending where after everything that my character has been through he gets what he wants in the end. You know, gets the girl/guy, gets married if they like, bla bla bla. To provide even more custom tailoring to the ending, it would be great if your LI or someone else would also ask you other indirect questions about what you were going to do when this was over, are you going to get married, have kids, etc. etc.
Speaking of kids I think it's a colossal injustice that after all of the sleeping with other people in Bioware games that not once has a child actually been directly bought into the equation... And I don't just mean the god-child you could possibly have with Morrigan, which I think will see interesting conclusion in this game, but what about everyone else. Why doesn't my Queen character have an heir with Alistair (which it annoys me is the only LI you can actually MARRY so far), or get married and have children with Leliana.

In the case of Queen/Alistair, I think it was specifically stated that Grey Wardens are less "potent" in terms of creating children and that it was only Morrigan's preparations plus the fact that she isn't a Grey Warden that let anyone conceive with her. A child by two Grey Wardens would be nearly impossible. That doesn't mean there's any reason a child couldn't have been adopted though. Until Bioware decided the Warden has disappeared, I always figured that my warden and Lelianna had done just that. There would have been no shortage of war orphans running around after the Blight, that's for sure.Speaking of kids I think it's a colossal injustice that after all of the sleeping with other people in Bioware games that not once has a child actually been directly bought into the equation... Actually I thought something along those lines too. But I just replayed through Dragon Age Origins recently, and I was actually searching for a mention of that. But I think it was just an assumption, because at no point did someone say anything like that.
I mean, the Warden has a kid with Morrigan after all depending on your choices.
I just looked it up and Gaider apparently says "normally" a child between two Grey Wardens is impossible (but that Grey Warden's were not entirely sterile, just that it was more difficult), probably meaning that magic can cut through such problems. Considering Alistar is the King of Fereldan, I don't think it would be two hard for the Circle or some hired mage to fix that problem for them.
Apparently Alistar also hints to something at some point, but I swear I cannot remember that so I find it weird. Maybe we'll get a clearer answer on this at some point.
Either way I see no reason my FemHawke and Anders can't have kids, haha
Especially considering they're both mages.

- no good male love interests. yeah i'm one of those icky fans who plays the games mostly for the romance, blah blah blah no gamer integrity or whatever. but given the chances of cullen (conventionally attractive fandom darling that i really really dont wanna bang) being one of the two guys, and my lack of interest in any of the others except that handsome older bearded fellow (who if hes even a follower at all probably wont be an li because he's older-looking), theres a good chance i wont get nothin this time around.
- tallis returning. i realllly do not like felicia day, i dont like her voice and i dont like her "quirky sassy gamer girl" shtick and i dont like tallis's crap self-insert writing and i dont like ea shoving it in my face that im supposed to like her while she practically plays the game for me ("ha ha i could have unlocked this the whole time but we needed a cutscene where your companions say two lines before i shut them up") and i dont like her self-righteous "hurr stop the violence" thing and the main point i am getting at here is that i do not care for tallis and i do not wish for her to be in the next game unless its so i can tell her to please go away
- too many whiteys. and dont tell me its realistic or whatever, this is a fictional world it aint real medieval europe and its remarkable how closely this alleged realism coincides with what straight white dudes wanna see in their games.
- too many gat dang skeletons i have said it before and i will say it again i am damn sick of fighting those skeletons in fantasy games. stop it theyre annoying. (in all due seriousness i actually just dont want boring enemies)
clearly i have a ton of faith in bioware right now

I hate to break it to you, but I'm guessing a majority of that is going to happen. Also considering the complete lack of good female interests DA2, I almost hope there aren't any good male ones, haha
I shall get revenge! xD
Also, Tallis was cool, and Felicia Day is great. Shame on you.

personally i liked the female lis for da2, even if i tend to lean towards male lis. out of 4 theres bound to be one i like regardless of gender so heres to hoping.
at least they delayed it a year so i will be 21 by the time its realeased because i will probably need to be drunk to buy this game

2. Unlikable companions
3. To many bi romances, and romances are to easy to achieve even if you don't want them to happen and didn't really do anything to activate them
3. Our choices from previous games don't mater at all, and nothing in the game matters in the end
4. Multi player having a big focus and has an impact on how the game ends
5. Getting another cliffhanger ending or a deus ex machina ending that makes no sense and negates all of our choices from the series
6. The combat animations return, combat become some low grade mix of a bunch of different games
7. The reactivity doesn't work well
8. Dialogue wheel is restricted to 3 main things and get werid outcomes
9. Glitches and other graphical errors
10. No moral choices and being good or evil doesn't matter
11. Lame boss battle
12. The inquisitor mysteriously vanishes for absolutely no reason and gets mentioned in dlc

For me, a better answer to such was in ME where medi-gel could be used as an option to bypass having to play them. As long as there are such options; fine, but when these things become mandatory to continue the game (eg; KOTOR gunnery), then they become a huge problem for me. Only played KOTOR once due to this; a real shame for such a memorable story.
