As far as I know the ME3 MP isn't necessary to get the best ending - it just makes it easier to get it.
So I doubt they would do something that forces you in this game as well.

Sorry, you're either leaving something out or you had a particular save import that got you more resources than me because I (just like in ME1 & 2) was an obsessive completionist and absolutely did do every sidequest in the game and could only ever amass about 3600 effective resources.

*Being forced to do something and you really don’t want to do it.
In DA2 Act 1, you were forced to go through this long process of getting enough cash to reclaim your family home. Well, that is nice, but honestly I did not care at all about reclaiming the family home. If I want a house, I’ll get it on my own time. I thought DA was supposed to be about choices, so why the hell am I forced to own and/or do something when I do not want it right now?
*Companions
In DAO the way companions were handled from their in depth personal stories to their side quests and even there snide remarks while traveling were memorable. In DA2, well, uh, they just were flat. One companion would tell you their life story and others had this “Well you already know them from the previous game, so will leave out personal information.”
*“Hey, so and so wants to talk to you!”
Ugh! This was probably my biggest pet peeve of DA2. I liked in DAO where if I wanted to hang around the camp, taking a break from adventuring and just spending time speaking to companions, I could do that. In DA2 you had to wait for a damn quest to tell you you’re companion wants to speak to you. No immersion, no relationship building between you and the companion. In DAO it was realistic, in DA2 it was not. It does irritate me that a beautiful system from the first game was wiped out and replaced with crap in the second.
*Armor and the lack of it
The armor in DAO was good, could have been better, but it was nowhere near the hideous pieces in DA2. Then let us not forget the lack of armor to start with. Playing a mage, I had a hard time finding armor that did not look like a bathrobe or something so hideous I would not even wear it on Halloween. The Champion armor I refused to wear, it was ugly and what the hell was that stupid metal piece sticking out of my chest? Was it supposed to be a trough to hold my food while I fight? Oh and my favorites in DA2 was getting a Chantry set for my mage or getting a Warden Mage set if I owned the DLC. First of all, my character is a Revolutionist so why would I wear this outfit? Lastly, I’m not a Grey Warden, so I see little need to run around looking like a Blue Smurf.
*Redesigning Enemies
The Dark spawn make-over was horrible. I loved how they looked in DAO, they looked like monsters, something out of your worst nightmare. Then comes DA2. When I saw a Hurlock up close, my first thought was …”OMG, I am fighting a group of mimes!” And what the hell happened to the Genlocks? Did they find a rare steroid type of Lyrium in the Deep Roads?
*Babysitting
I am not going to get into detail here. Most of DA2 you felt like you were the parent driving a car and had to turn around and constantly yell “Knock it off back there!”
*Clean-up
DA2 needed a lot of this-badly, especially in dialogue. Case in point: Merrill tells you when you first meet her she never met a human before, later she says in conversation she met Duncan and talks about his beard.
*Blind Templars:

1. They make Varric broody and filled with angst. Yes he has plenty of reasons to be depressed and the Inquisition is going to give him alot more, but please don't make him loose his humour or positive outlook. He's my dwarven Imoen and I'd hate to see him cry.
2. Being forced to make obviously bad decisions just because the plot demands it.
Example, Grace in DA2. She was a willing accomplice to a blood mage and you had no proof she wasn't a blood mage as well. If you are a mage, she even threatens to tell the templars about you if you refuse to do her bidding. Why would I risk letting her live?
There are no important witnesses, and most of the templars outside were willing to execute her on the spot.
At least give me a reason for it. Maybe someone in the group is the child of a noble, who will punish the pc if his child dies? Or maybe the templars want her alive and come running in, forcing the pc to make a quick decision.

She could not get a breathing scene even with perfect playthroughs of ME1-2, getting the "best" ending without 100% "galactic readiness" was made simply impossible in order to force people to play MP.

-Silent Protagonists, I want to play a character, not a emotionless cut out i have to pretend had a personality
- Party mates that are obsessed with you like in DAO, DA2's greatest strengths was that the characters felt real, they interacted with each other outside of you, and disagreed with you, in DAO they could be bribed into obedience with dog traits and hated eachother by default
- Boring DAO mmo style combat
- Races not mattering.

Companions I don't care about.

1) Being told that I'm supposed to care about someone rather than shown. Examples of this include the family members in DA2 and the vent child in ME3. I really resent the premise of "oh man, people are dying and look, these people you just met are supposed to be sympathetic and they're dying too isn't that sad?" When these events presented themselves the result was me being entirely focused on the question of why should I, or my character, care when we've only just met these people? The story treats them as disposable so that's how I respond to them. Worse still, I have no agency in causing or preventing their fates so I can ignore the event with a clear conscience. Leading up to their demise I also quaffed a potion and/or spent a thermal clip, shall I plan a funeral for those as well? At least in instances of the consumables I caused those things to expire.
2) Mabari as a sustainable summoning spell rather than a legitimate companion. Barkspawn might have been limited compared to the other companions, but flesh out his skill trees a bit rather than completely gutting him down to the DA2 backstab sponge variant.
3) Companions having both history and interesting conflicts with the protagonist that are taken out of your party and/or the world for large portions of the game only to return with the conflict resolved. Carver was a good example of this as are the Virmire Survivors of ME3.
4) Spirit Healing requiring a sustained spell that shuts off offensive spells. I don't want to be forced to choose (again) to stance dance or completely ignore my specialization just because I didn't want to be a blood mage.
5) Fortitude passives tied to a single mage specialization rather than spread out through the trees.
