You won't be able to change your party member's armor.

We haven't seen the system yet. You can have them equip armour, but they will have unique appearances.

It's a medium between the too

Companions appearance will change but it'll still keep to their unique design

LOL.
And having too many straight characters is perfectly fine. <_< No thanks

But it is realistic. Also don't want retconning straight characters into gays. *Cough* Caidan *Cough*

That's not a retcon

I have two concerns. That the combat will turn out of be completely in real time, and that it has the ME3 level of auto-dialogue.

I don't really know. Thus far I haven't seen anything that has caused me major concern. Everything that has been revealed looks fantastic. I hope though that the races have different voices, which I know probably won't happen.

I know I'll eventually get over it, but at first it's going to be a bummer, and tbh a little immersion breaking, to hear a DA dwarf speak with an English accent, likewise with an elf.

There are only two things that would make me not buy it:

1) If they removed homosexual romances.

2) If Orson Scott Card has any further involvement with the franchise.

I'm worried that:

9 companions is just too many and they'll be shallower and have less content because of it.

Origins had 10 companions if you count Shale and Loghain.

DA2 has 9, counting Bethany/Carver and Sebastian.

He was commissioned to write an ancilliary comic series back when DA:O came out.

Eh, never cared to read any of the comics at all. I've been slightly tempted to get the ones written by Gaider, time to time, though.

30 hours seems really short for an rpg, at least in comparison to the ones I was used to growing up and still play. (all jprgs, usually averaging at about 60+ hours, with over 100+ hours if you do everything). Anything less than 40 will be incredibly disappointing.

As for my biggest fear...well, reduced modding capability (this is pretty much a given though :/). And locking certain hairstyles and appearances bits from the character creator (like ugh, Hawke's badass hairstyle that you could only use with mods). There's no reason for it.

Also, incredibly long ass cool downs on spells. HUGE TURNOFF. Allow us to customize our companions skills as well; whether to turn a mage into a healer for example; a warrior into a tank so that way if we don't like a particular character, we can make another one into the class we need. I fixed this in DA2 by modding it so that Fenris was my sword and shield tank and making it so Merril could heal if I wanted her to.

Lack of cosmetic equipment options/no equipment scaling: If I like a really low level robe, but I can't wear it because it's **** stat wise, it would be awesome to be able to equip it for the appearance but maintaining the stats of the higher level robe. (again, I fixed this in both DA:O and DA2 by modding it so that all armor and weapons could scale).

I can hope. :>

So really, biggest fear I guess is lack of customization.

Possibly? He's a homophobe, which is what primarily concerns me.

Well, I don't buy the comics either, but if they employ him in any capacity, then my money will be indirectly funding him, and I can't stomach that at all. If they ever commission him for anything else, then that will be the end of my association with Bioware.

Gameplay. I'm afraid that it's going to look pretty yet feel nothing at all like a Dragon Age game.

Recommended.

Alexander Freed (who does the actual writing) somehow manages to channel David in a lot of his dialogue, and they're just a lot of fun and very well written, and they contain interesting lore and an official perspective (since they're David's stories). Print quality is decent enough for the hardcovers, I guess, and the art looked above average to me (it seemed to get better over time).

I don't consider those previous comics to be canon or even worthwhile. I actually mostly just disregard the fact that they ever existed, whatever they were (don't even know, and don't even care).

He certainly doesn't "go for" humans. Doesn't mean he can't like humans.

Also, is there some kind of "romance content gated by race" implication here?

I'm worried that :

1. DA:I's combat will have some twitch elements and end up being a weird Witcher 2/DA hybrid.

2. Game will take less than 40 hours to play through. I don't think this'll happen, not with semi-open world, but you never know

3. There will be more angst-ridden companions, who whine all the time. I wish more companions were like Isabella and Varric.

4. Bioware takes the ME3 route in DA:I's endings.

5. PCs and next-gen consoles will be hindered by current-gen. I remember reading that ME3 had no holstering animation because of memory issues on consoles. Sure they can use lower poly assets on current-gen but what about extra animations, particle effects, other FX and so on? I hope these aren't sacrificed on PC and next-gen simply because current-gen is too weak to run them.

6. DA:I will flop and this'll be the last game in the franchise.

-Specializations not being recognized by NPCs(people don't know or care you are a blood mage ect)

-Lackluster blood mage spells. The fear of BMs need to be justified by powerful spells.

-No matter what we do, we get the same or very similar ending.

-Flemeth being something predictable. If her true nature is revealed, it needs to be something unique.

I'm rather afraid that the game won't be able to live up to its hype. Essentially, it'll be like DA2 all over again.

Other than that, I'm also a little worried that they won't be able to sufficiently tie up all the plot threads. I know DA isn't planned as a trilogy; I guess I'm just concerned DA:I will bring in even more issues to be resolved than...well, have issues it actually resolves.
