I only get hyped up about how much I'll enjoy the game, rather than why I'll enjoy the game. So when the game comes out, I can focus on enjoying the game, instead of pining for what I might have wished the game to be.

That the combat wont take ME3's approach. (ME3's combact felt tight, fine tuned, added tactics for both sides that you had to react too and like they took their time to get right.) DA2's combat was heading in the right direction for me to enjoy it. When you hit a button, things happen instead of watching things happen and just positioning them like in DAO. But DAO was more tacticle and I like that. I want a great blend that lets me do the fighting like in DA2, but uses more tactics. The Legacy? dlc showed them starting to blend the 2 and I hope they expand in that direction. I personally didnt have a problem with the combat speed and they could have speed it up, but if they slow it Maker forbid...I hope not by much.NOthing is worst than playing a RPG with terrible combat... If they make it so you have eto make use of terrain, positioning etc and be quick on your feet to evaluate the situation all during combat, Ill be happy about it, but the pre-alpha vids dont look like it so far. But its pre-alpha.
Vast environments to explore with nothing going on in them. :love looking at every inch of the world and if exploration has nothing interesting going on for it, I will be dissappointed. THink ME1's exploration... I rather have all places or most places have a story it tells. Think Uncharted or more recently, The Last Of Us. The Last of Us, every inch of the world tells a story. You can walk into a home thats abandoned and know who lived in that house, the amount of people, their ages, whawt they did for a living, what they ate, what happened to them when the world started to end, etc.
My spellls, finishers, skills, talents, traps, poisons, potions, Specializations, Hand of god spells that looked amazing in trailers/ used to be in the game, not showing up again...
Choices not mattering again: DA2 nothing mattered. I remeber choosing to fight certain annoying characters and being told I couldnt even when they gave us the option, My Hawke being the most powerful person in Kirkwall, but not able to stop 1 troll in his basement that kidnapped my family members, etc. Choosing to side with one side to only have them randomly decide to use blood magic when the situation didnt call for it and them randomly turn on me, then have to fight the other side as well... Picking love interest and having no closer to what happened with them and randomly ending up with a different person, being forced to slay all the Elves... things like this that make no sense.
Story not being told well: DA2 had nice side stories when it came to companions, but the main story.... I had no idea time was passing by until someone walked up and told me. I was like "What?!" everytime it happened. People randomly walking up claiming to know you and going " Remember that time you...", and having not experienced any of it... that was stupidly annoying and I never felt the rise to power. I expected trhe 2 routes to get in the city to matter and wanted to see how choosing 1 vs the other would pan out and what all I would have to do to finally earn enough to enter and live in the city once I got in. None of that happened.Randomly forcing you to do sidestory you have no interest in to continue your main story or collect _ amount to continue your story.
Glitches: Bioware is known for tons of bugs in their games, most game breaking. ME3 adn DA2 were riddled with them and I almost had to restart both games from scratch a few times or keep reloading and doing a part dozens of times praying for it to finally not glitch out so I could continue the story and game... Please BW... TEST your game this time around!
Next Gen dumbed down for old gen owners: PLEASE DONT! I want every feature, particle, animation, texture, line of code, etc that the next gen can handle! I plan to get it for PS4 and I dont want features missing cause ps3 owners wouldnt be able to have them as well. Sorry, but if you choose not to upgrade, I shouldnt get punished. I bought it on the next/ current gen machine and deserve to get all the bells and sparkles that come with it. Just like if the next gen machines cant do everything a PC can, I dont expect BW to drop higher res textures off PC players game just to make me sleep better at night. I chose the platform and have to play on it or hop to a different machine.
3D not matching up to the 2d art: 2d art in DA has always been amazing, but the 3d not so much. I just hope the characters wont look generic compared to the 2d art when its all said and done
Character Customization not being on par with Saints Row the 3rd
The game not having Co-op or MP: The game needs it. I dont care how many people live under a rock and hate extra modes that are optional to play. I want this and had since DA2. Fans should be able to get together and enjoy the world of thedas in a game and not just shouting at each other on BSN. If even I can come up with reasonably pleasant sounding ideas on how to implement it and stay true to the series, someone at BW should know how too. ME3 made a small but effective vs of MP that millions of people enjoy who would have never thought MP would work for ME, even though its a shooter with powers...
A Delay. The wait hurts enough, but if BW suddenly said it wouldnt be out until march 2015 or something... Maker help the world, but a real tear might appear in the sky from angery BW fans

This doesn't make sense. What if you were hyping yourself up to enjoy a game and you don't? Because of something that game has/doesn't have?

Historically, that hasn't happened to me. Only games I ever didn't enjoy, I was never hyped about in the first place. But if it did happen, it would be a let down, sure, but then I'd move on.Fast Jimmy wrote...

If I do end up not enjoying a game, I put it aside, and never think about it again. Except for The Witcher games, as they're so frequently brought up comparatively on these forums.
But that's the thing, if I'm not concerned about what's in the game or not in the first place, that part's not a problem.Fast Jimmy wrote...

What I know for a fact is that I have thoroughly enjoyed every BioWare game I've played so far; and that's where my expectations start. Not with "what did I like about BioWare's previous games", but "how much did I like BioWare's games".
I'll let you know if my approach stops working.

oh! and launch day DLC. always hated that
also. if the game takes less then 50 hours to complete going in a straight run through? that WILL suck

Pff you mean Bioware is going to give toolset so the modders can length the live of Da3? or maybe is game length! you fear is similar or longer than skyrim without DLC's?
or maybe is that DA3 is going to have less Loading screen that skyrim? ...hmm
wait! maybe you are refering at the freedom for us to build the character we want and the character able to use any in game weapon? yes?
well if all the answers are no, then never fear it wont be a clone, not even close.
My fear? That at the end have to play multiplayers to get a blue /green or red ending... of my choice?
or I have to come up with my own ending and later discover that it wont matter because is no canon and be left with the feeling of noth·ing·ness but some people will find it bittersweet and worth of speculations, with some artistic integrity as icy.

There is no reason not to have it at this point. Have Dice make if available. Firstly, I believe he was referring to the exploration aspect. To which I'll ask you to compare the exploration aspect of BG to the exploration aspect of Skyrim. The former of which comes closest to what they're trying to do with exploration in Inquisition.Huntress wrote...

Awww, *Hugs a Bioware* I'm sure I'll love it, I haven't run into a Bioware game yet that I didn't adore.
Personally, my big concern is that the game will flop for whatever reason and we'll never see anything more from the franchise.

Don't worry. There are safeguards in place to prevent this from happening.
The name of those safeguards?
ROMANCE FORUMS.
