I am afraid that my elf Inquisitor will be forced to inexplicably walk around barefoot just because we need to have the entire elven race to be so nonsensically attached to nature that I am not allowed to role play a character with common sense and good hygiene.

I'm pretty sure I've heard something to the effect of "we don't want that to happen again" from the devs. If that'll allay your fears.

Conversly, I'm afraid the game won't let me inexplicably walk around barefoot, f*** shoes.

Also I fear that my female dwarven rogue inqusitor will be unable to equip DAT HAT. Many tears shall be shead should this come to pass.

That it's a Skyrim clone.

Pff you mean Bioware is going to give toolset so the modders can length the live of Da3? or maybe is game length! you fear is similar or longer than skyrim without DLC's?
or maybe is that DA3 is going to have less Loading screen that skyrim? ...hmm
wait! maybe you are refering at the freedom for us to build the character we want and the character able to use any in game weapon? yes?

well if all the answers are no, then never fear it wont be a clone, not even close.

Firstly, I believe he was referring to the exploration aspect. To which I'll ask you to compare the exploration aspect of BG to the exploration aspect of Skyrim. The former of which comes closest to what they're trying to do with exploration in Inquisition.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure the OP made clear that this isn't a thread in which to rag on other peoples opinions, much as you might disagree with them.

Calm the ******.s
It has been know since 2011 that exploration was similar  or a BiT bigger than DAO, the hero able to visit many places tevinter is one of them...

Enjoy:

The vids with more recent news are easy to find so never fear DA3 wont be as free roaming as skyrim.

Don't worry. There are safeguards in place to prevent this from happening.

The name of those safeguards?

ROMANCE FORUMS.

Yes, how long did it take for the entire ME3 Romance board to be locked, again?

It depends on when you start.

Romance forums were open long before the game was released due to overwhelming "MUST BANG MA WAIFU" threads.

My one concern is that they'll radically change the combat to make it a real-time action game.

My exact concern as well.

Well, that's the best part!

If it gets to the point of Bioware needing to close them, the amount of need rage and mental instability will have fermented to untold levels there... which means they will spew out like a bloated posture into the rest of the forums! It's like putting a boiling kettle on the stove and then taking it off the heat... and then splashing it in someone's face!

Guaranteed resntment and bitterness.

My Biggest Fears:

1.) Blatant Mismarketing-I'm absolutely terrified of another press bull**** mill like we got with ME3. I really am. It gave me so many headaches. I don't think my fandom can take it.

2.) Faction LOL-ification- If they take deep, interesting, complex factions and turn them into one-dimensional enemies, it will be disappointing. Dragon Age actually has some decent factions, and that is GOOD. ME had one decent faction that wasn't directly affiliated with the gov't. Prior to ME3, anyway.

3.) Over-the-top Monetization-Significant Day One DLC, microtransaction fiesta, etc. It really does detract from the game's overall quality if it feels like a shop instead of a game.

Basically I'm scared that the worst parts of ME3 and/or DA2 will happen again.

My biggest gripe with DA 2 was the deprotagonization of Hawke. I hope they don't do that again.

As I've said before, I'd be fine with Hawke having to be an anti-Circle mage as long as I'm the one blowing up the Chantry. Instead, I'm forced to play babysitter, forced to be 'in the middle,' and then my efforts to keep the peace are yanked out from under me by an NPC.

But I can't say I'm 'afraid' it will happen again.

One of fears is that the game play will not have improved and still be very repetitive point and click and roll dice.
but me greatest fear is that helmets will still keep magical disappearing.

That my save won't carry over. I'm not asking for much. I have a deep-down fear that I will be disappointed. As it is now, my characters won't save from Origins and my achievements aren't registering from DA2. I think the import mechanism from my account here is what is going to determine what gets carried over into DAI and I'm not liking it at all. If I have to play this from scratch or a preset history, so be it. I'll probably still enjoy the game but I will feel cheated.

I'm on a PC. It shouldn't be this hard.

1.Mages will continue to be unfashionably oppressed due to the Templar's direct control over the Thedasian hatter population. I don't care what anyone says; my mage is wearing that bloody pirate hat.
2. Armors will still have those weird drool catcher things from DA2 sticking out of the chest again. Seriously, what was that all about?
3. Schleets.

Sounds like you need to stop playing Dragon Age.
