Seriously, if it weren't for Thane, I'd throw my copy of ME2 out in the rubbish, after what they did with kaidan

The idea is to be able to do things that we can't do in real-life and there are no Drell in real-life. In the tradition of Star Trek we get the chance to have a romance with an alien, who is humanoid but exotic and different.
I did mention he can snap necks right? Just making sure

I appreciate guys who can snap necks, have an amazingly sexy voice, the best mouth I've ever seen, a special nickname for my character, and oh, did I mention he can snap necks?

Hmmm...As a man, I can't help but notice the responses here have been largely contradictory.
Surprising? I think not.

No man could be attracted to a female drell, I know that much. Men need the asari, who are blatantly sexy. But a woman's taste can be so diverse...never ceases to amaze me. I was suprised to read that the artists at Bioware were actually trying to make Thane appealing to women.
That said, he is still one of my favorite character designs in the game.

HAD a wife. dead is dead, except when you're ressurected by cerberus. sure, he can vividly relive every moment with her, but as the song says, "if you can't be with the one you love, you gotta love the one you're with."
As for my own opinion, i really don't think he's that cool. i'm into girls, so that doesn't apply, but i still hear/read about how awesome he is and he made the box cover and the trailers and everything. eh. he's interesting because his species is unique, but i don't get why he's so great, otherwise. and i don't really like his outfit. but, at least it makes more sense than jack's.
