Thane's look was ultimately decided by the women at bioware....

I've always liked reptiles (which is partly why I find Krogans so interesting), and snakes are my favorite. So Thane is aesthetically pleasing, yes, but I find his character and the possible story behind him even more fascinating. It's not a sexual thing for me, but I think my character could develope those sorts of feelings for him.

strictly upon his design i would like to say he has a very romanesque type face, He reminds me of roman and greek statues, which are in the least to say beautiful. But i still wouldnt romance him, i have my limits hahah

Thane looks amazing...almost sexy....<_< Also, I like his combat style. I hope he's as acrobatic as he seems in the trailers and has a biotic melee special ability. That'd be sick.

Are women sexually attracted to fish? Should I follow suit?

Does not fempute

Maybe it's the coat.

The smell is fami- NO, BAD DAEJI, TOO OBVIOUS!

Thane is pretty much every guy in one of those girly porn books rolled together with a set of balls tacked on for good measure. He's sex, pure and simple.

I get confused some times, looking at him. So... pretty... parents... crying...

As much as I like to call Thane a green salmon, you can't reasonably write him off as "a fish." He's humanoid, and aesthetically statuesque enough to woo a relatively large population of the fanbase. Trying to understand why some people want to hump Thane is like trying to understand why some people like certain kinds of art. They just do.

I dont see why girls wouldn't go for a mermaid dude type of person.

He looks totally badass to me, he's actually my favorite character (I'm a guy btw) since I have an obsession with assassins (Im a big AC fan).

When it comes down to it Thane's not a fish anyway. He's a drell. And devs have said drell are reptillian or "lizard-like but not lizards" because they are alien and "might have qualities you'd expect from mammals." ...Because they are alien. So I can't say any earth animal ever factors into my sense of appreciation, and if it does, I'd hearken it to reptile in origin.

She'd be hot as heck and also have a smooth jacket and a silky voice.

She might look something like Thane did in early development:

You can't deny he was awful purdy with his come hither stare and piercings.

That is indeed an effeminate-looking drell. Perdy, as well, but I don't think I dig the tall head thing.

'tis said that Drell "have some features you'd typically see in mammals, wink wink."

One would be curious as to whether this would also apply to the femme versions.

Boobs? Quite possibly. The drell do have lips after all which is vaguely indicative of such a thing. I'd say it's far more likely than turian or krogan bosoms.

Listen, believability should never get in the way of the inclusion of boobs.

That just should not happen.

Bewbs would be nice, but it isn't a deal-breaker if Drell females lack them. I put more emphasis in the legs and hindquarters anyways. Shoot, Subject Zero barely has bewbs at all, and she's certainly very attractive.

So all you ladies are saying all I need to do to get laid more is have a nice jacket and and croak when I talk?

I mean, I don't even understand why he's attractive in the least bit. He's a fish face. His neck is a huge writhing mass of red wonder meat. Like, if you cut off his leg could you make sushi out of it? He might not even have a wang... or what if he has 12?

I'll never understand, and I don't think I want to. Men are attracted to things very predictably. ******&ass. Asari at least look human a bit...

Think less fish and more snake. You could make some sort of naughty comparison there, but I won't. Image IPB Besides, it isn't just his looks that appeal to me (mythic asexual walking among you, look away) but how the trailers portray him. The fact that he's humanesque makes him familiar, though, I won't lie. But that fact that he's an alien is hardly the motivating factor in my liking him.

Not a deal-breaker, certainly, but when there are bewbtacular options available, like Miranda, my Shep's going to have a heard time sticking with SuZe. I intend to go into ME2 with an organic approach, though, and go with whatever romance suits my character best. I figure I can't lose. Tali, Miranda, and SuZe are all killer options, IMO.

It's a lady thing I guess dude.

... (which makes me seriously feel like I need to cough or clear my throat),

OMG I thought I was the only person who he was having that effect on... his voice reminds me of someone who has a flu with too much phlegm in his throat and causes his voice to distort when they talk.. it drives me nuts... and Thane sounds like this all the time. I'm going to have a very uncomfortable time listening to his reverberating voice I'm afraid :(
