What if my "MASS EFFECT 4 THE SEARCH FOR SHEPARD" story idea was really in the works?

I have atleast made 2 or 3 threads discussing this story idea following the ending debacle months ago. What If Bioware is actually working on this concept? What if Shepard's Team gets back together to find him or rescue him? The High EMS Destroy Ending would have to become canon but it could be done you guys it really could, and it could work. Has anyone read any particular articles discussing a concept like this in the works? Or maybe something close to it? Maybe a rumor?

I don't know if I was the first one to post a story idea like this on the bsn but if they took this concept and ran with it for the next game I would be the happiest ME fanboy alive. I have been given a lot of grief about this idea but if it comes true........oh man, i'm calling it here first lol. Oh well, we shall see.

Most of the fan ideas I have seen floating around the bsn and other website comment sections have been prequel, Prothean, Krogan, Rachni, and millions of years in the future type ideas. After seeing the Destroy Ending with the Extended Cut I feel as though "THE SEARCH FOR SHEPARD" could be a reality without actually bringing our hero back as the main protagonist, heck Bioware already made our custom made Shepards a clone in The Citadel DLC, a cameo appearance during or after the end of a new trilogy or standalone game would not be to far fetched.

How about Mass Effect 4 : The Search for Spock?

Starring William Shatner as both Commander Shepard and Kirk.

How about this:

After blowing Glowboy up (Destroy ending), Shepard got major burns and got in a coma. With some plastic surgery, the doctors manage to restore Shepard's face (character creation). then, after being in a coma for 5 years, Shepard wakes up. When he wakes up, Shepard finds out that the Alliance space has been taken over by Batarians, Vorcha and Krogan.
Together with his best friend Garrus, Shepard decides to restore the Alliance to it's former glory and lead the Alliance in retaking the Alliance space from the Batarian, Vorcha and Krogan rivals.

Then, for ME5, Shepard and his crew have become a galaxy-wide celebrities. The Council races decide that the Alliance has become too big, and so they work together to bring down the Alliance. Shepard's best friend Garrus dies, and the Alliance has to flee to the Terminus system. The Alliance, still lead by Shepard, take over the Terminus system and strike back against the Council races.

And finally, in ME6, we see how after defeating all the Council races, Shepard has become the new leader of the Milky Way Galaxy. Together with his crew, Shepard and the Alliance formed the new Council. But then, all of the sudden, our galaxy gets invaded by time-traveling aliens from another galaxy. Shepard and his crew get abducted and imprisoned into a virtual simulated world.
Shepard has to escape the computer simulation and defeat the anal-probing alien invaders together with his crew and the Alliance.
After defeating the alien invaders, Shepard becomes the leader of the universe.

Edit: Also, in ME6 you discover that Garrus never really died when you find him and free him from the computer simulation.

I like that idea better than the OP's.

No no no see you get the option to romance any of your major teammates except for Javik.

You just ask Javik to sign your copy of his autobiograpy.

No there isn't.

In fact, speaking about squad members and romances (I know that's all you care about),  I'd suggest BioWare to make ALL squad members romancible, and ALL should be romancible in the same playthrough. Why choose if you can have all of them? Makes sense right?

Morinth is dead...

But that does bring me to an awesome idea. BioWare should bring Morinth back as a zombie squad member in ME5 for the people who chose Morinth over Samara in ME2!

In fact, all death squad members should come back as zombie squad members. Zombie Thane, Zombie Mordin too.

How about a completely new story with a very different kind of conflict, with a unique plot of its own and with fresh characters? How about letting the original ME trilogy go and appreciate it for what it is instead of making it an anchor? The ME universe does not revolve around Shepard and his or her crew. Their story is told already. It's done. There's so much more potential to this universe than sticking to the same characters and same plot for an eternety. I'd rather see something totally new than being stuck.

+ fans' ideas and fan-fiction rarely works. Most of the time it is awful and based on childish fantasies and wishful thinking. The original post is a mighty fine example to that. Nothing personal, OP.

Nah, zombie homies- I mean, zombie squad members aren't romancable. You can't talk with them either. You can only call them to help you out in missions.

Would ME6 be the one starring Admiral Anderson as... Admiral Anderson? ;)

OP: I doubt it. I seriously doubt it. And I worry that, if you're actually expecting that to be the case, you're setting yourself up for a serious disappointment. (To be a tad cynical - if you aren't expecting it and it does happen, you'll be over the moon. If you aren't expecting it and it doesn't happen, no loss. There's no gain in expecting it to happen.)

However, I will admit that, if it does happen (which is not impossible, I suppose) then yeah, you called it.

I was more thinking about Martin Sheen as a new crew member for Shepard, played by Martin Sheen of course. Then Shepard's crew will comment about how much Martin Sheen is like the Illusive Man and Shepard will handwave it away claiming that Martin Sheen is a good guy and nothing like The Illusive Man at all.

If Bioware develops this type of story fans will buy it and love it just for the simple fact you will be able to see familiar faces again. A story featuring his crew alone will show how far they have come. A type of A Team. That is a story worth telling in my opinion.

Yeah yeah "everyone died in my playthrough" I am sure people will say that, well those people would be able to start and customize a new type of character rather than using one of Shepard's former crewmates. But the canon fact would be that Shepard is missing and the crew or a crew goes out to find him.

The Leviathans could have him for some reason or another, who knows.

Ah. Now I see why. I clearly haven't played enough of the... uh... 'source material'... that we're refering to here. In fact, I haven't played any.  I should go fix that.
