Been a while since DA 2 was released. Just started a play through the other day and my game never updated on its own so I was just playing version 1.00 and unaware there was a very bad Isabela glitch with it. So I updated my game to 1.04 and reloaded my save to just before Isabela became my friend. Fortunately I did not lose very much progress at all.

My question is. That since I started this file as 1.00 will the patch fix apply to this file or would I have to start a brand new Hawke to benefit from the patch's fix? The answer will help me decide whether or not I will befriend my Isabela again on my reloaded save or simply drop her like a hot potato.

Just to clarify, the save I am using does not have any debuffs from the Isabela glitch whatsoever. I just want to make sure that it won't happen in the future as I am playing the game due to the save being originally created with a version of 1.00.

I believe you should be fine now. The only issue was that the patch did not fix Hawke's that had already been slowed down by the glitch.
