I expected you, then, to make a point against this person's argument, based on your cries of 'ad hominem'; the *ahem* outcome of events was contrary to what I was expecting. Granted, your grasp of the English language and arguments in general seems to be beyond my own (and I'm needlessly dragging this whole thing out... If nothing else it's a nice diversion), but this makes sense, no?
At least, this was my line of reasoning, and while I suppose if you never intended to argue anything this is all moot, I think I'm being somewhat logical.
For the most part you are being logical. You assumed that since I was being critical of this person that I was being critical of his argument.
Fair enough.
I do disagree with his the passion of his critique of Bioware over the whole RTO DLC thing, but I never once told him he couldn't argue his point.
I just wish people could do it without calling each other pointless names.
From your understanding of what you were saying, yes, you were being logical.
No harm, no foul.
Again, the pedantry arises, you probably want to use the word hypocrit and hypocrisy more than irony in the future.
We'll all be friends again when RTO comes out for real.
Well, most of us.
You have to watch out for that David Gaider guy, and his "ideas.":?

Well, it's almost 7 am here and I just sacked off Alistair for Zevran for the 5th time in 5 playthroughs...after saying to myself that this time I WILL deffo go for Alistair and see how that pans out. I'm a sucker for those elven eyes, so I am going to bed in disgust at myself for not sticking to my plan yet again. Here's hoping we get more info soon, perhaps they will have a breakthrough whileI sleep
Night Night and thanks for the laughs
Graciemae, stop being yourself in-character and be the character. Create a personality for her different from your own! Make her the opposite of what you are in RL. Learn to act! That's a role you wanted to play but it is easier to be ourselves. Like Javier Bardem did in No Country for Old Man. He is a really sweet person in RL and such badazz in the movie!
And thanks Victor for the news. Any news is better than none!

Also, I never want to hear the phrase "ad hominem" again.
I'd like to never have to say it again.
addiction21 would like some tasty breakfast pastries.
Sloth of Doom would like even more opportunities to be sarcastic.
David Gaider would like a Hugo Award for The Calling.
Many people on here would like their DLC last week.
We all have to live with some disappointed.
David Gaider's writing is too weak to win an award ever.

Please, could you confirm you keep in mind that there are xbox users that has not download the TU and others that have downloaded it and clean the cache?
I just don't want to update the title and find that because I have clean the cache I have a new bug.
Also, that there are xbox users that have downloaded the DLC and get already the achivements, others that have played it but didn't get it, and others that have purchase/download it but not played just in case (like me).
I just one to be sure you are keeping in mind all of these cases in order to check the next title update and DLC release.
Thank you.

And the point of this statement was? It has nothing to do with what you qouted and there are several other threads dicussing the writing where I am sure others would be more then happy to discuss his writing with you.

1) Let's stop the back and forth here. It is dragging the thread into a place that it doesn't need to go.
2) Abriael, it's clear from your posting that you won't be happy until we put forth a confirmed release date for RtO. Well, we won't be happy until we have one either. of course, we have dates we would like to hit and, frankly, we would like to wrap this one up so we can move on to the next set of updates ourselves. But the fact is, the update is done when it's done.
Setting previous dates (holiday season, Jan. 5, etc.) was a mistake, since we didn't hit any of them. We were optimistic enough to set those dates, but things did not go as planned. Now, we are dropping back a bit and trying to realign expectations so we don't get a community all up in anticipation again.
But it's not fair to say that the note contained no information. First, you know that new code is in testing. We're not just looking into the issue or working on the fix. We've begun the testing process, which is the first phase of getting it released.
Second, we wanted to make it clear that there were lessons learned from the release. We're adjusting testing methodologies to better find these types of issues in future updates. This will be a benefit for all of our releases in the future.
Finally, we really are trying to improve communication and information flow around here. Notes like these are an indication of that. I have some meetings this week, where we'll work further toward getting updates on the questions floating about the forum, so we can help you feel better informed.
Every time you delay RtO God kills a puppy.

Guys, let's keep any feedback directed toward the update, not toward each other. You love us or hate us for the update, great. But don't hate on each other, 'k?
For the love of sweet baby jesus can we get an ETA on the PC version without a broken title update that you guys appear to be sitting on for the sake of sitting on it? Thank you.

They won't be releasing the PC version until they can release the content for all platforms. To my understanding, there is this stipulation somewhere. With that said, "for the love of sweet baby Jesus," be patient.

Victor....in which way does the xbox360 issue affect the pc release of RtO?
The contracts with M$ do affect the PC release. Funny thing is, everyone should know by now, there is an RtO version floating around the net, which is pretty playable. Imo, this post BW made is all lies. Lies to the faces of the PC gamers.

Talking about PC it would be cool if over time BioWare sets up a way 360 players can enjoy what ever campaigns or missions the PC commnity builds for Dragon Age....I dont expect 360 owners to be able to use the campaign builder but it would be cool lol.

They also once assured us the console versions wouldn't affect the pc version getting updates and dlc and the like. Guess that was a big line of bull**** as well.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we finally got something even if its just a whole lot of the same thing really but to sit on the pc version for the sake of the console versions just seems wrong to do.

Personally BioWare is being upfront with the problem wich is a lot more then I can say about a host of other gameing companies. That would hardly say anything about any problem or bug in thier game.

Come on Bioware, release RTO for PC and please the 40% of your users, instead of holding them back.
