before answeing, could you say how you think it might? I would have thought that they would learn from this so future content really should run smoother.

I never said each and every question. I meant that they have an obligation to keep us informed, and to keep us informed with the facts, not sugar-coated made up excuses.
If RtO isn't in our hands right now because Micro$oft's contracts say so, then tell us. Don't make up blatant lies about "further testing" because we know it's not true.

Eh, unfortunately, even if that's the case, it's not a given that they CAN tell us. Most of those deals are covered by confidentiality  clauses, in order to protect the parties involved from the PR woes that could happen.
While I personally could only giggle in glee at the idea of microsoft finally nailed to their responsibilities on how they willingly damage gamers as a whole to further their own brand, it also means that it's unlikely that such a question will ever be answered.
So yeah, we can ask (and I did), but they may not be at a liberty to answer.

There's one flaw in this reasoning. The phrase "The only bug is in the title update" is missing the word KNOWN. That "people" have played it and reported no issues means exactly nothing to Bioware's QA staff. Let me let you in on a fact: You don't test a product simply by using it normally. Bugs aren't like that. The most common way for a bug to occur is for the software system to end up getting itself in a state that the programmers didn't anticipate it getting itself into, and the code ends up not handling that state as it should. Just because some people don't run across a given bug through normal play, doesn't mean its not there.

Now they missed a rather big issue in the 360 title update, this caused them to take a step back, and say "Crap! Our current QA process totally missed that, maybe we should make some revisions to it!" the obvious next step is to put the content they were attempting to release through the new process just to be sure that there wasn't anything else overlooked, not only possibly bringing to light bugs they may have missed, but giving them a chance to put their new procedures into use and see how they work out.

RtO will be released when they're ready to release it, and while they're sure to have some sort of estimate of when, seeing as they've messed up twice now, they're going to be damn sure not to give any to the public till their certain it will be correct. And some how despite the delays the sun will in fact rise tomorrow, and your life will go on.

That's a rather large assumption to make, considering that RtO performed well with the players who managed to download it. Sorry, I don't buy it. The title update has little if anything to do with the actual DLC.

All this bickering for 1 - 2 hours of gameplay. What are you going to do once you finish RtO eh?

Most likely come back to the boards to complains some more on how short the DLc was.

Some people are never happy unless they're complaining about something.

I couldn't agree more.  I say if they can't be civil and mature they need to have their posting privileges revoked...they repeatedly come into thread and bicker, complain, flame and whine until the thread gets locked.

Well, I am comparing the two issues. I didn't make a deal with the devil like they did. And someone on here is telling me there are worse things going on and used that as an example.

I don't think I have done anything bad that would give others reason to punish me.

I really...really wish you would take your own advice.  I'm tired of reading threads for more information about the fix and you are always there stinking up threads with your witless prattle.  Don't you have anything better to do?

The mods really need to start revoking posting privileges for annoying trolls that offer nothing to threads except their excessive whining and nerd-raging.

Back on topic.  Will the RtO/patch problem hinder future dlc's and expansions?

Ah the troll's true colours show.
Your inept attempt at fostering guilt taken for what it is, you now melt down and resort to flaming.
If anybody needs to have their posting priviledges revoked it's whiny fanboys like you who think they have the right to dictate what people say.
Now again, do be quiet and let the adults talk.

I'm a paying customer, genius. That means I get to ask questions, and have right to have them answered.

Now now, let's not get overboard. Being a paying customer doesn't give anyone the "right" to have every single question answered. It gives the company you're paying the moral obligation to keep you informed on the status of your "investment", but there's quite some difference between informative communication and having to answer each and every question.

I quite agree.  I'd sum it up by saying being a paying customer gives us the right to not be treated like mushrooms.  The "informative updates" aren't very informative, very timely, or, I suspect, very accurate.

If it was the case, you would think MS would have said by now - we can see you guys getting absolutely slammed here. Release it on pc and we will forego the agreement this time.

Then again this is MS.....

Exactly. The only thing MS cares about is MS. That's wht no one in the gaming industry (besides the ones that work for MS, and not even all of them), respects MS.

Last warning for everyone. More name calling and personal attacks is going to result in a temporary ban from the forums. Keep the debate/discussion civil. Any more personal attack from anyone and you're gone.

Its not an assumption, its how software QA works.
Believe it or not most companies don't rely on users to perform QA for them.

And how do you know that? Have the pirates explored and done every combination of actions to be sure there are no problems? Then have they explored the entire world to make sure that RtO does not cause problems anywhere else? Not all problems would be like the title update and jump out and smack someone in the face and just because RtO works fine does not mean it does not cause a different problem somewhere in the game.
Also where is the evidence to show that the "leaked" version was actualy the final version. I could of been a prior build lacking in things.

Is it 100% foolproof? Probably not. But tell me, what released software is? That's what patches are for.
The point is, it's perfectly playable and has no earth-shattering bugs, so why not release it?

As for the whole "MS DID IT" thing you want to hear. Well when companies get into bed with each other there is almost always a contractual obligation to not point fingers at each other no matter the circumstances.
I suggest you take a breather and calm down. You will make your points more clear and concise.

Do you honestly think they are legally bound to not state simple facts? If the contract they have with M$ stipulates a simultanious release no matter what, then why not tell us? It is hardly pointing fingers, it's simply disclosing something that most of us already know anyway.

Believe it or not an unrelated bug in an unrelated software update has absolutely nothing to do with the DLC.

Yup they can have a NDA in their contracts forbidden to talk about anything related to the contract.

You all need to calm down and be patient, there are a lot worse things going on in the world right now.

Thousands of people are suffering in Haiti and here you all are coming to a internet message board complaining about a silly video game. Seriously?

Grow up.

As I understood the situation, it is all their own fault anyway. This is something that is out of our hands......

The only conclusion that I can then come to is our plight is far worse.

All their fault? You know that Haiti is the one and only country where slaves overthrown the slavers and took power, rright? And after that, for over 30 years, US military invaded and "governed" that country. And then put a nefarious Baby Doc who then self proclamed President for life and then his son took the title and then the US leaded sanctions that ruined the country. Yeah, in name of democracy the worst barbarism were committed but I still think that slavers wouldn't let the once slaves get away with it!

And for those who think that saying "I accuse" is the same as expressing an oppinion... you really should learn better. Last time I saw a Londoner that angry was when Brazil screw them over in a World Cup match, like we usually do and when it's not Brazil, it's Argentina! But I won't bite a cretin for that... he might be rabid or contagious...

I could assure you that the leaked version has issues and if people are still playing it is prolly because they never had the intention to buy it to begin with while I have my 400 points already spent and assigned to RtO as shown in my "Registered Game Promotions".

While I cannot be 100% certain, because software is like that, I have 7 friends playing this game. All of them have the dlc. None of them have any mods installed. They all had characters after Ostagar, waiting for the dlc. they all took different origins stories as I understand it - (although you could argue they are missing a few). they have all completed the game with no issues, and they tell me they explored the world including completing Warden's keep and Stone prisoner.

They all have very different machines. Bioware can't get much better testing than that. The version they are playing has a date of 05 Jan, so it is likely (while not certain) that it was the final version.

And we don't want to know it is MS' fault so we  have someone to blame as such. we want to know because they told us it wouldn't happen - and it appears it is happening. If they admitted  it, pc users would no longer expect to get looked after.
