So lets get this straight...I gave 5 bucks to BW/EA for a product that was promised in December? Right? Now how many other people did the same thing? Go to this thread - http://social.biowar...59/index/653338 and read David Gaider's answer to that thread.

Odds are they'll give you your money back for your points if you demand it of them, whether it's policy or not.

Has anyone tried getting their points back?  I've not checked.

I'm treating my points like a pre-order, personally.

And so Mechnic...you think that you will NEVER EVER be able to spend those points that it? That Bioware is a highway robber and that ..you're just out of luck??

To help us avoid similar problems in the future, we're updating all our test plans across all platforms to take additional edge cases into account, as well as committing to more detailed test passes that will also prevent something like this happening again.

Short term, this means another delay across all platforms for the immediate console patches and Return to Ostagar DLC releases as this is a substantial increase in test coverage, and that time is needed to do so and ensure there are no other knock on issues with either the main game, the updates or the DLC.

In addition, while this creates a delay with the immediate content already expected to have released, the additional testing actually benefits some of the upcoming DLC and expansion pack, and as such is not expected to impact dates of the future content.

Here's the reason the PC and all other versions are delayed, just a reminder for those who profess not to know why it is delayed. I think it's very clear.  It isn't being release not because all versions had some bugs, but because the 360 problem made them realize the necessity of a new test system. Argue all you want about versions that are not bugged, but that doesn't change the reason they have given for lack of rto release.

Anyone with a once of reading comprehension and self sense will see that I have not attacked or dismissed anyones opnion about wanting more information but the methods that have been used to draw those conclusions. They might be right or wrong and only time can tell us that.
Now for the whole "its out and perfect" stuff. How many here actualy think those that allready have it are testing it? I mean testing it. Going to every nook and cranny, performing every action conceivable to make a bug happen. With every party combination possible, wearing different gear, using different builds, at different levels, and using different abilities.
Or did they just play it and go "I did not see a bug so it is perfect" ?

How is quoting your exact words, twisting your words? I was actually asking you a serious question out of curiosity of how many reports that it works fine would it take? You guys complain about people speculating that the DLC isn't the issue, then in the same breath you speculate yourselves that its not the final version or its unfinished or people are just entitlement ****s. When really thats not the case. Just seems kinda holier than thou and hypocritical imo.

Just ignore her...she's just a troll with nothing better to do.

Back on topic. I heard that there is in fact a bug with the 360 version that was up briefly, but I have no idea what it is and I myself have yet to encounter it.

If you have the spec-locked bug be sure to restart the x-box when you clear the cache...load a previous character with all the specializations unlocked..save..then load your new character and it should be fixed.

It took me a few tries but eventually it worked.

Ever notice how half the posts on this thread are made up of whiners labelling anyone with concerns a troll, demanding they shut up and flaming them if they don't?
It's sad, it really is. I'm genuinely sorry if the opinions of those unhappy with the absurd explanations given for this delay frighten you and your unconditional love for BioWare so much you must resort to trolling, but we won't stop.

Not that I'm ruling out the possibility that these trolls are simply attempting to get this topic locked out of spite.

@ Alphakiller and the other thing is..those bioware points are transferable to ME2 (which everyone seems excited to play) so there's been no ripping off..except on the part of some players that believe it is their right to get everything for free.

I can't wait til life smacks them in the head, and someone rips them off..a lesson that needs learning.

No one that I know of has asked for anything free in this thread. I think even The Angry One would acknowledge that RtO should ultimately be purchased for anyone's personal use.

That doesn't mean that anyone who has purchased BioWare points shouldn't maybe feel a bit ripped-off. The point is we have paid. We paid for what we thought was something that turned out to be nothing. Some people keep going on and on about "false entitlement" and the like. But a lot of the complainers are people who've paid BioWare more than enough money, so I'm thinking that "false entitlemt" line should be put to rest. BioWare told it's customers something would be ready, got money off of that, and have yet to produce. When they do produce, than we who purchased BW Points on Jan. 13th will have what we ARE entitled to, albeit late.

And so what about ME2? I have to buy ME2 now to not be ripped-off on my BioWare Points? Is that the point you were making? Sorry, but it's just too late altogether. BioWare already kind of lost my respect a bit. This website pulls customers in via the DLC. They then announce that DLC will be ready on this website "later today" and so acquire purchases for BioWare points. We then go days wondering what's going on with no apologies. Yes, I feel a bit ripped-off, and their lack of communication makes me feel a tad taken-for-granted as a consumer. If you think any of this is "false" then I think you're false.

Maybe some people are asking for something for free. I myself have suggested BioWare throw even some charitable compensation for their mix-up. But I certainly don't think I need and head-smacks or life-lessons. Certainly none you would know about.

I don't mean to be inflammatory, but I thought your post was maybe a little too judgmental. I've made these complaints, before, they're old, I know. But it seems whenever someone else comes along with something similar to say, they're given the same old condescension. And on top if it all, you're just not doing BioWare any favors by it, suggesting that they buy ME2 to transfer their BW points that they obviously meant to use for THIS game.

And why, pray tell, should I not label people who are outright insulting me for my opinions fanboys?
I don't care what they say, but I do take exception to the hypocrisy of it.

Did I say that? Projecting, aren't we? How do you know I was referring to you anyway? I was speaking of the trolls who are doing nothing but insulting those of us with valid criticisms.
Do you count yourself among them?

my inclusion into the category seemed somewhat implied by the fact that I didn't notice you replying to my latest statements in a satisfactory manner.

was I incorrect?

So from what I understand you guys are working hard on fixing the MS goof (servers not updating) and the game breaking patch that you released. But still nothing on fixing the things that shouldn't have made it past you crack team (or is that team on crack?) of testers in the full retail game? You know things like dex bonuses not applying to archers. Shouldn't that have been first on the priority list? Before worrying about RTO or Awakenings? Greed is a terrible thing and could end up costing you more in the long run.

Don't like it..don't read it simple enough. :)  There are many opinions, suppositions as to what is "secretly going on behind the scenes" ..doesn't mean if you say 100 times,  the leaked version is 100% perfect because the pirates say so, that me or anyone else is going to take that verbatim and believe it.

Thats what starts alot of the back and forth here.  Those that have played the not so legal copy are setting themselves up as the experts over and  above the programmers, coders and developpers, declaring this dlc a go, when in fact they don't have the necessary proof to be saying that in the first place.

Those that play "illegal" copies are not those I would consider a source of good information.

After all thieves do lie don't they? :)

this has been explained before:
there are seperate teams. the team that messed up on RtO are busy fixing their problem, along with instituting new testing procedures that will be used by other teams, such as the developers of ME2 and DAO:A. I would assume that there is yet another team working on such glitches as you mentioned...
namely those that you mentioned were already fixed on 1.02

@ KC there is an avenue that people can pursue for reimbursement...David Gaider was mentioned a couple pages back. I am positive that given the circumstances, ie: the delays that Bioware is not going to shoot themselves in the foot by not issuing refunds. Contact customer service by e-mail was what was said.
