@ Alphakiller and the other thing is..those bioware points are transferable to ME2 (which everyone seems excited to play) so there's been no ripping off..except on the part of some players that believe it is their right to get everything for free.
I can't wait til life smacks them in the head, and someone rips them off..a lesson that needs learning.
No one that I know of has asked for anything free in this thread. I think even The Angry One would acknowledge that RtO should ultimately be purchased for anyone's personal use.
That doesn't mean that anyone who has purchased BioWare points shouldn't maybe feel a bit ripped-off. The point is we have paid. We paid for what we thought was something that turned out to be nothing. Some people keep going on and on about "false entitlement" and the like. But a lot of the complainers are people who've paid BioWare more than enough money, so I'm thinking that "false entitlemt" line should be put to rest. BioWare told it's customers something would be ready, got money off of that, and have yet to produce. When they do produce, than we who purchased BW Points on Jan. 13th will have what we ARE entitled to, albeit late.
And so what about ME2? I have to buy ME2 now to not be ripped-off on my BioWare Points? Is that the point you were making? Sorry, but it's just too late altogether. BioWare already kind of lost my respect a bit. This website pulls customers in via the DLC. They then announce that DLC will be ready on this website "later today" and so acquire purchases for BioWare points. We then go days wondering what's going on with no apologies. Yes, I feel a bit ripped-off, and their lack of communication makes me feel a tad taken-for-granted as a consumer. If you think any of this is "false" then I think you're false.
Maybe some people are asking for something for free. I myself have suggested BioWare throw even some charitable compensation for their mix-up. But I certainly don't think I need and head-smacks or life-lessons. Certainly none you would know about.
I don't mean to be inflammatory, but I thought your post was maybe a little too judgmental. I've made these complaints, before, they're old, I know. But it seems whenever someone else comes along with something similar to say, they're given the same old condescension. And on top if it all, you're just not doing BioWare any favors by it, suggesting that they buy ME2 to transfer their BW points that they obviously meant to use for THIS game.
