But they've been pretty up-front with us now about what happened, why the delay, and what they're doing to address that in the future.

So sit back and relax, maybe with a caffeinated drink of some form from your local Omnipresent Overpriced Possibly-Evil Coffee Chain. We've voiced our concerns, they've owned up to the mistake and told us how they intend to address it. I'm fairly sure they'll get it out as soon as they can; it's not like they /don't/ want people buying it.

I try and stay away from Starbucks after seeing the effects of an accidently spilled regular cup of their coffee actually peel paint off a garage shop floor. Perfer Dunkin myself.

But that's where all the flavor comes from!

Seriously though, if i need coffee (or pastries that aren't built from stone) I hit up Dunkin, if I need a latte I hit up Starbucks. Don't get a latte from Dunkin. Trust me.

Hmmmm where does one buy one of those?   Maybe Abriael can tell me..he admitted yesterday to being a "gasp oh noes" fanboy.

Technically I prolly am as well or fangirl if you so perfer Since I've enjoyed every Bioware game from BG on with the exception of Jade Empire. Still though when they drop the ball like they did with this I don't find fault in calling them on it.

ive come to relize along time ago, never buy a game when it first comes out, wait about 6 months to a year, by then most the bugs have been fix and its alot cheaper. so that way ya get a 80% finished game, and about 60% less cost

Well some folks operate like that yes.    Personally I tend to read forums and reviews before I buy.  Screenshots, gameplay videos ..yup I do all that, before I commit my cash.    I STILL haven't bought the points necessary for RTO.  hehe  and even when its released I am going to wait a day to see what happens.

I don't like jumping the gun, unless I am absolutely positive...I am doing the right thing.

Generally I am the same, but I liked this game enough I broke a promise I made taht I would not buy points for anything and threw down 20 dollars for points in November. I had the extra money and just said **** it and it has not bothered me

I mean I saw a lot of butt kissing on the first few pages and it just bothered me so much I just skipped like 20 pages.

So after 4 days of silence a few folks ( me included) were made happy by the announcement....in order to express that happiness ..we said "thank you"....thats considered butt kissing?

There you go again Feraele blindly defending an entity that you have never really experienced any "closeness" with. Just think about that for a second. You jumped in and defended a company that has screwed you over and even though you got ****ed there was no satisfaction you still want to  make excuses for them !! Please just LOOK at what has happened and try to accept that people have legitment complaints. Get off your high horse and out of your Juggernaut armour and start looking at the real concerns of most people. Why...can a game update be so fooked up  when the programmers have the original software and they are supposed to be professionals. Why? can anyone tell us why?
They the so-called professionals can't figure out their own program? What is wrong with this picture? Are they all "up in the night"? Can I get some more conjecture on this?

kinda reminds me of the old everquest days.. back in the 90s...still 12 years later they still cant make a game without all the mess ups.. actully its gotten alot worse over that past couple years..i have seen games taken off the market because they were so terrible with bugs and unfinished content. .... i just wish and hope that maybe one day after many years, i have waited for a awsome game such as this to come out...but without all the BS and broken promises...........and btw... EA is top of the list of unfinished games.

While I won't go in depth about the fanboys part (I think I covered it in quite an extensive way, anyway), I have to admit I was suprised too.
RtO is a simple matter of additional content. New cutscenes, New terrain, new speech, new items, but unless i'm horribly mistaken, it doesn't really tamper with the engine of the game. Again, unless i'm horribly mistaken, given the time, the resources and the talent, it's just a matter of adding new assets into the game via the toolset.

So, what can have gone so horribly wrong? How could an update made entirely of " new assets" and with no change in the engine go THIS MUCH wrong?
This is honestly a question I'd like to see answered. And no, I'm not holding my breath for it, but paint my curiosity piqued.


PS: Actyually the top of the list of infinished games and random messups is activision, not EA. EA has given up the seat of the evil overlord of gaming to them quite a while ago, and they did up the quality of their offerings quite radically.

anyone played the red riding hood redux? thats what RTO is going to be, 5 min and your done.. what do you expect for 5$ when it comes from EA..lmao.. just wait for the real expansion comming out in march.. thats what ima gonna do..it will prob include RTO or they will sell like a gold pack with everything in one pack

which one are you talking about??? If the XXX rated one yeppers watched it and satisfied Little Red Riding Hood. Though she didn't have her hood on anymore.
