Some people feel that abundant usage of hyperboles gives their point more validity. Of course it doesn't, but it's always hard to help them understand that.

kinda reminds me of the old everquest days.. back in the 90s...still 12 years later they still cant make a game without all the mess ups.. actully its gotten alot worse over that past couple years..i have seen games taken off the market because they were so terrible with bugs and unfinished content. .... i just wish and hope that maybe one day after many years, i have waited for a awsome game such as this to come out...but without all the BS and broken promises...........and btw... EA is top of the list of unfinished games.

I was there..in beta for EQ hehe..played Meridian 59 ..lag lag lag lag.  Programs are only as good as those that imput the information..from what I hear. :)

People aren't perfect,..they make mistakes, thats how the brain functions, by making mistakes you learn a new trick. :P

So basically, you're saying that PC users have to wait further for RTO? We get 4 days of absolutely no communication, and then a big wall of text about the 360 (whose players are ALREADY enjoying the DLC we didn't even SEE), and no mention how when the hell we'll get the content many of us already paid for due to your misleading communication?
Paint me EXTREMELY disappointed.

Just release this damn DLC and do away with it. We all know that the PC one is ready to ship, and has been for days. PC users take a backseat to console users too often already.

If this is true, then I don't know why everyone who plays PC version isn't angry.

I mean I saw a lot of butt kissing on the first few pages and it just bothered me so much I just skipped like 20 pages.

So after 4 days of silence a few folks ( me included) were made happy by the announcement....in order to express that happiness ..we said "thank you"....thats considered butt kissing?

So in your way of life you never, ever, ever say thank you to anyone for fear of being seen as a butt kisser?

How odd. :)

There you go again Feraele blindly defending an entity that you have never really experienced any "closeness" with. Just think about that for a second. You jumped in and defended a company that has screwed you over and even though you got ****ed there was no satisfaction you still want to  make excuses for them !! Please just LOOK at what has happened and try to accept that people have legitment complaints. Get off your high horse and out of your Juggernaut armour and start looking at the real concerns of most people. Why...can a game update be so fooked up  when the programmers have the original software and they are supposed to be professionals. Why? can anyone tell us why?
They the so-called professionals can't figure out their own program? What is wrong with this picture? Are they all "up in the night"? Can I get some more conjecture on this?

Being a long time gamer and having been in a few closed betas along the way...bugs happen *s**t* happens..thats life.

They are taking steps to remedy what happened...as for "blindly defending".

I know exactly what I am doing...I think, I reason...my solution is this:  don't get your knickers in a twist, its not worth it.   There are far more important and sad things that happen in life than a 5 dollar dlc.

As for horses I don't own one, but I would love to. :P

How do you know they can't figure out their own program.  Were you there....do you know that for a fact?  Nope and neither do I.   I read what they have to say when ..they have information to give, and am at this point willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

I do  not tend to go on forums and flame the hell out of everyone just because I didn't get my toy the day I wanted it.  Not my style..and to be honest ..its pretty silly.

I am here because I am interested ..in what people have to say, and what the developpers (when they have time) have to say...and most of all because I DO want to play RTO :)
And...here's my favorite saying:

"When life tosses you a lemon..make lemonade"  :P
\\\\

When life tosses me a Lemon... I rub my teeth with it. Posted Image

I also make some good  grilled fish. Posted Image with garlic of course.

But still wondering if you really think you have to have your husbands permission for anything? Remember it is your choice. Posted Image

Sounds like Feraele has a "hardened" relationship with her husband lol. But anyway, seriously, I am content here now that BIOWARE has made this new thread and stated some good hard information and given some good feedback in general about what is up. It still is unfortunate it took 5 days, but can't help that now. And Victor says that he has meetings set up this week that will address better community communication. Another good step. So hopefully things will improve here as far as the flow of information goes with DAO and future games. No, there was no date given, or any real indication when RtO would be out, which sucks, but at least we've been given something back. Now everyone should be happy right? Right.

Whats really sux thou is nothing from BW at all, whats that say about a company that was in the top echelons of the gaming industry? Very sad. Posted Image

They have kept us updated with the situation fairly well.  What else do you want them to do exactly?

Days and sometimes weeks of dead air, vague descriptions of last minute "issues", then release announcements, then no release of the pc version with no explanation at all for days, altered thread titles, etc.  Yeah, fairly well.

Victor Wachter wrote...

To those 360 players affected by the Title Update issue this week, our sincere apologies.

The situation is something we are taking very seriously and the team is continuing to work around the clock to rectify.

DA:O is an incredibly large, very deep and complex game, making it virtually impossible to test every system and permutation possible for each update/DLC.

When testing any large endeavor like that, we depend on selectively targeting systems related to the changes being made, prioritized by order of perceived risk.

Unfortunately we did not foresee the changes being made to impact the systems it did, which is how something seemingly so visible still managed to avoid the dev team, and multiple test cycles of seasoned QA all through our internal teams, and EA & MS cert teams, and ultimately ended up out to the public.

To help us avoid similar problems in the future, we're updating all our test plans across all platforms to take additional edge cases into account, as well as committing to more detailed test passes that will also prevent something like this happening again.

Short term, this means another delay across all platforms for the immediate console patches and Return to Ostagar DLC releases as this is a substantial increase in test coverage, and that time is needed to do so and ensure there are no other knock on issues with either the main game, the updates or the DLC.

In the meantime, there is good news - a fix is already in test for the 360 issue and looking very good, we hope to have a new update out as soon as possible and will update you as best as we can. If successful through the updated test plans, it will still deliver the expected fixes as well as restore the game saves for anyone affected by this week's title update. For now, we do not have a timeframe for when the fix will pass approval and certification, but we will keep you updated.

In addition, while this creates a delay with the immediate content already expected to have released, the additional testing actually benefits some of the upcoming DLC and expansion pack, and as such is not expected to impact dates of the future content.

Thank you again for your patience.

Thank you for the update.  It would probably be seen by those most desperate for any information if this was also posted in the Xbox forum.  Most of those folks have not been checking this forum or older posts in that forum and it is chaos in there.

Because in real life your not married...but wish you were? Marriage is not what it is promoted to be. Better to have a guy or woman that supports you thru all the BS. Someone that you can come home to when you're distressed and  make luv to without having to be tied to You can let your frustrations out and not feel like you are a **** or a ****monger. Someone who you can "puke" on and know that they will never tell anyone else about it. That is love and you don't have to be married to have that. It is trust between two people thats all it is.

I may be stupid but I really beleive this.

Holy, if that isn't off topic I don't know what is. Who cares if she's married, who cares if she's lying to make herself feel not so much like a loser. Why the hell are you asking or even making mention of it? Why are we getting "deep" thoughts about marriage? I mean what the hell? Seriously?

I'd have to point out that since the world doesn't revolve around you, not everyone has your same standards about what makes them "happy". This doesn't mean that they're NEVER happy.

Many of us simply would like to hear something more than "we are working on it, no eta, we'll update you later" no matter if it's written with 10 words or 100, but the meaning is the same.

I feel compelled now to add my take on this whole "marriage is meaningless" thing before it gets driven too far away because it's off topic lol. My wife and I were just like you're saying "marriage means nothing" and we still feel that way in reality. But we were together 6 years, and the people we wanted to have at our wedding (if we ever had one) were not getting any younger and we decided that we would do it for everyone we cared about more or less. The reason we chose last year (August) was because my best friend since the 2nd grade died in April of Leukemia, my aunt died in June, and my father had died previously in 2005. At this rate, if I wanted friends or family to be there, it was pretty much sh*t or get off the pot. If this was a bad reason to get married, then we were foolish or w/e. Did it change our relationshp? Not one bit. But at least at the end of the day, 20 years from now or w/e I can say I did have my brother there, or my mother there. I'll tell you now, you don't forget who was there, and I certainly won't ever forget who wasn't there.
