PC gamers normally take a backseat to console ones in the eyes of developers for almost every game out there. For once the PC version is the "lead version". It's quite obvious that PC gamers aren't happy to see their own releases take a backseat to console ones as usual.

PC rants are best kept to the other thread where they are actually relevant, no?

Yourself and others are doing nothing but spamming this thread with your PC related concerns thinking it will somehow make a diffrence, when it's plain to see it's making little difference.

My point is, there are a few people -- you among them -- who are simply unpleasable at this point. Despite numerous efforts by numerous other posters to put things in perspective, particularly for Sarah and for Angry One. They adamantly refuse to be swayed from their viewpoint.



For myself, this means that I'd have more productivity hurling myself off a cliff than debating the subject any further. The laughs are all used up, now it's just facepalms and groans.

And thats half the problem right there, as there's not really a thread devoted to the PC version, nor is there much info about its status. The console users may find that quite alright. The PC users however, who esentially are the ones that have supported Bioware over the years and got them where they are today deserve better imo.

Yes it is strange that PC users would be on the 360 forum, but maybe it is because this forum is the only one that has any new/or well a response from anyone at/from Bioware on it about DA RTO.  The other forum about RTO has gone over 6 days now with no new information, so we maybe looking for it where we can find any.  Also why is it that you can download DA RTO from a link at the Bottom of the Dragon age Wikia game site, is this a valid BioWare/EA copy or the leaked/stolen one?????

I'm not trying to continue the PC rants, just trying to let people know why PC users might be on this forum, we are just looking for Offical Bioware information where we can find it. I find information on the Wikia site, (will not download and unzip RTO file until its offical), and on greywardens.com, but it would be nice to have a offical site/link that has updated information for all users on it.

Actually this isn't even the xbox secton of the site to begin with so I'm not quite sure where the idea that PC inquiries shouldn't be made but I digress.

Sweet mother of God, you sound like a nationalist. I never realised i was more important than wee Timmy the console player.  Just goes to show what owning a gaming pc can do for ones social status. 

Next time i visit the civ forum I'll be sure to tell Sid Meier and all those pesky console kids what what i think of CivRev.

Way to be over dramatic. Considering they were just short of making it available to pc users on the 13th and thats esentially the last we've heard of it aside from "working on it" I don't think a minor update is so much to ask for.

Anyway Bioware people, I tried really hard to read some pages of this thread but I couldn't read through all that as it was mostly just you're an idiot, no your an idiot etc etc so apologies in advance if this has been answered in some form;



But why is the PC version delayed if it's a problem with the console achievements etc? Contractual or is the PC version bugged too? Will one version not be released until all 3 are ready?

thanks for the update.  i understand the devs need to work, and personally have experienced what a f*cking pain it is to have cries for constant updates when you are deep in the weeds, debugging and testing.  nice to see a review of test plans too.  it's an unfortunate fact that when push comes to shove, QA tends to get the shaft.

a general note to people on the forum: relax.  every single piece of software ever written, for any purpose, is buggy as all hell.  everything.  for most businesses, there is a threshold where the ROI for fixing bugs is too low.  now, when the product is software, that threshold changes, but still: there will be bugs.  it costs time and money to fix, not to mention that if the problem is in the base code they have to make sure any changes don't blow something up on a different platform.  there is an effective workaround to get the spec unlocks back; that buys time to get everything right (well, as right as anything gets).  a delay in releasing DLC is not the end of the world.

What I don't understand is why the PC players have to wait because some console version is borked.  You guys had no problem making PC gamers wait months for Mass Effect after the console release, so it seems like a bit of a steaming pile of it to require all of us to wait for the DLC to be fixed across problematic platforms.

It would be frustrating to be an Xboxer waiting for the code to be fixed, but it is a lot more annoying to know that all they need to do for the PC is to just flip a switch for the download.  I bought the silly points for the DLC immediately when it was announced, but now I'm having to wait because for some reason this thing has to be released on all platforms simultaneously.

What's up with that?
