Clearing the cache is not a guaranteed fix, all it does it erase the title update. Whether or not your specializations unlock after getting 1 is a mystery as far as I can tell because it works for some and not others, myself included. If it doesn't work for you, then start a new game and reunlock them. Or reload some old saved games and reunlock them that way. You can unlock several in camp within minutes if you have a character that has a good repoir with your team mates. I had to unlock all mine from scratch and it literally took maybe an 1.5 hours, that's with creating a new guy so that I could buy the Spirit Healer and Ranger Manuals after Ostagar. Do you really think that BIOWARE is going to develop some patch specifically for this? Do you want them wasting countless hours on that instead of on RtO or Awakenings when you can do it yourself, and could have by the time they get RtO out. I mean really, this waiting for BIOWARE to fix it, you may be waiting awhile. Think about what kind of coding would go into this. It will have to code that you had them unlocked to begin with, so as people who didn't unlock them, can't just get the update and get all the specializations for free where as we all had to "work so hard' to unlock them. Just make a new character, go unlock them and enjoy the game already people.
It is very obvious that you have NO CLUE what the problem is.
The specializations do not stay unlocked after you unlock them. They lock back up. Then when a character levels and gets the specialization points all the specializations are locked up.
Yes I played a character and unlocked the specializations, I enjoy the game and don't mind getting them reunlocked but the fact is MR. Iknownothingaboutthispants they do not stay unlocked and when my dwarf unlocked duelist and then Zev leveled duelist was locked on him along with bard which I had unlocked and for Sten Templar was locked even though I had unlocked it. When Wynne leveled shapeshifter was locked even though I had unlocked all this stuff in this playthrough.
Bioware had better fix this because as the game is it is not possible to unlock ANY of the SPecializations for any of the characters. If they do not come preprogrammed with the specialization then you don't get to unlock it even when you have unlocked it via dialogue or reading the books you buy.
It is NOT possible to fix this myself with the method you have posted because were it possible I would have done it already since I DID USE the method you suggest.
