This speculation, of course, is assuming that Bioware thusfar has been honest and integral in their communication with us. Why do I assume this? Because if they aren't, then any updates given to us from them would have no meaning anyway, so might as well assume that they were telling the truth.
That being said I would greatly appreciate a more substantial situation update, even if it is something like "it won't be done for another 2 weeks at the earliest".

I guess if this is the response of his early comment. then I bid everyone farewell and goodday I will be selling dao and cancelling my pre-order and bioware shall never again play me for a fool.
Yup that is souch smart and sound business practice. Purposefully going out your way to anger and "fool" your customers. Yup they totally set this up...
Anyway enjoy, I have had over a decade of great games from them, even if this whole fiasco could of been handled better I have no problem giving them a second chance.

I wouldn't go that far. This is their first post-game DLC release, there are bound to be teething problems. Given that Victor purposefully avoids answering the question about Microsoft delaying the DLC leads me to conclude that there could be legal ramifications for being transparent and that this indeed a case of Microsoft delaying the release of the other DLC until the patch is re-released and gone through the certification process.
Likely they don't want to be last in line.

We did. I put forth a proposal. It was accepted, and now we are in the process of getting me access to various databases and whatnot so that I can compile updates on a regular basis. It's coming, but a change in communication processes is not an overnight affair.Abriael_CG wrote...

From this point forward, any discussion of trolls/fanboys will get the poster a 24-hour ban. Flame wars are not allowed, so please review the site rules before continuing, and then do so civilly.
Ok, but what about giving us something that would put such discussions back in the background where they belong? We've gone quite a lot with no news. I thought you guys had some meetings this week about how to improve communication, yet, I don't see such an improvement.
You don't have to talk to your databases. You can just talk to us. Keeping your customers informed about a product that you are not relasing has more to do with common sense and being fair. It's not rocket science.
You just had your chance and what did you do? You walked away. Again.

Ditto.
Could I so easily turn my back on the people that gave me Neverwinter Nights? No.....
It's going to take something a lot bigger than a bungled patch and some delayed DLC to get me to jump ship. This game's got some big issues but frankly Bioware games tend to be patch heavy anyway because of the sheer level of content and formulas that go into them. The more things that can go wrong....well you know.
As long as they don't give up or stop at least TRYING to fix the problems they deserve a fair shake.

Politician: Well, considering the current global conjecture and the post Berlin Wall reconfiguring of the world order, i must say that I believe that it is in the best interest of the people of my country that new researches are done on this subject and that a board of notable and extraordinaire social cientists are gathered to debate the findings before I can give you any answer!

He can reply to posts and he can create threads. Whatever it is he needs more will probably follow when that is ready. Fine. In the meantime he has said tools to start explaining what is going on.Feraele wrote...
Well if he needs access to databases that he currently doesn't have, in order to compile more information so that it pacifies us..I would guess thats the reason. Seems an honest enough answer to me.

No he doesn't. That's the point of him trying to get access to the databases. Victor is only part of the community
team like Chris. He's not a developer. If he wants to know what's going
on with RTO and the title update, he either
has to talk to the devs themselves or access specific databases to see
how the products are progressing.

Indeed not! But very happy to hear that something like this will not happen again.
I will reiterate my opinion that if the more vocal of the fanbase had not pushed about, that proposal might have not been submitted/approved. So Abriael is working for us all!

That's quite good news victor. Hopefully the results will be worth the effort. I'm sure you know what is the piece of info we all are waiting for, and I hope you agree that we waited enough for it.
In the meanwhile, thanks for pushing the issue with your bosses

There's no need to hand out medals. If Victor will indeed improve the communication channel between Bioware and us, then he's the one that will have to be praised. I'm not the one that went to their marketing managers with a proposal in hand.
