Wow, still not out? My copy of ME2 will arrive day after tomorrow (UK but pre-order so should get it a day early) so I guess I'm one of many whose buy of RtO will be cancelled or held off due to these mind-boggling delays.

Well, Mass Effect 2 has arrived and with it the Dragon Age forums have noticeably quietened. Looks like it's going to be a pretty barren stretch between now and Awakening for Dragon Age, which is a real shame. Dragon Age, in my opinion, is the better game. ME2 will keep me busy for a while (three or four days, maybe) - but nothing like what Dragon Age did.

Fantastic work Bioware, your "better communications" meeting achieved absolutely nothing.

If I had a penny for every time I've read "[Random Video Game] will keep me busy for awhile" I'd be financially secure for the next few centuries.

I don't even remember if I ever finished ME1. Too bad my Xbox broke last month... :crying:

Asassin's Creed 2 DLC is due out on the 28th for the same price as RtO is going to be. My guess is that and the ME2 launch today have a lot to do with the lack of RtO at this point, unless it was a really deep bug and they had to scratch the update totally and completley re build it. It's been 21 days since the original release date and 13 since the new bug that has forced this indefinite delay. Only a complete re-build would take this long unless they are holding it for when there is less stuff out to compete with. Jan 5th was perfect timing for a small DLC, nothing else out and a captive audience, now more stuff comming out that I'm sure a lot of DA:O owners own ME2 and some prob own AC2 as well. I know that I'm buying the AC2 dlc with the points I added to buy RtO and I'm sure I'm not alone. It makes sense to wait for Bioware to try and get a captive audience like they will in March for Awakenings, which would also explain the quiet, saying they are holding it for a better release date would cause an anger from this forum that would be unparalleled.

bioware is a big company and they work on alot of games each day so saying "bioware you hav screwed us over" is very imature. they arnt going to drop every thing just because you say " WE WANT RTO NOW"

From this point forward, any discussion of trolls/fanboys will get the poster a 24-hour ban. Flame wars are not allowed, so please review the site rules before continuing, and then do so civilly.

Ok, but what about giving us something that would put such discussions back in the background where they belong? We've gone quite a lot with no news. I thought you guys had some meetings this week about how to improve communication, yet, I don't see such an improvement.

We did. I put forth a proposal. It was accepted, and now we are in the process of getting me access to various databases and whatnot so that I can compile updates on a regular basis. It's coming, but a change in communication processes is not an overnight affair.

Completely understandable. Thanks for explaining. That said, just because your office is looking into the creation of a system/processes that will allow close to "real-time" communication/updates, doesn't negate the fact that it's verging on 2 weeks and we still haven't seen a patch released. See, the DLC interests me but not nearly as much as being able to continue the game again WITH each of my unlocked specializations back. As I was one of the unlucky few who downloaded the title update (which was still available after the DLC was removed) my game has been essentially broken ever since. At first I was relieved that Mass Effect 2 was coming out soon to distract me from the fact that I can't continue Dragon Age but then I realized that until Dragon Age is fixed, there is no point in supporting your company further with new games. I didn't buy Dragon Age at release to have the opportunity to completed it months later. I also feel some of you at BioWare might be sitting around hoping many (or all) of us fall into the same "ooohhh Mass Effect 2" daze I mentioned above with the hopes that we will eventually look past or forget this f-up with Dragon Age. That said, I won't be opening Mass Effect 2 until this is fixed and will gladly return it if things aren't settled within the next month. Now, that's 1 1/2 months I'll have given you and your team in total which is quite generous in my opinion.

Keep in mind, I completely understand I'm only one person. I also understand that the loose of my purchase will have no direct consequences on BioWare's yearly profit or Mass Effect 2's inevitable success. Nonetheless, I stand my ground and my hopes are others (even if just a few) will stand there's until your mistake (yes, I understand it was a mistake) is corrected. After all, just because you and your team are preparing to Mass Effect's launch today, shouldn't give you the right to overlook, postpone, or put little effort/man power into creating the fix to this mistake which has broken the game for many of us faithful BioWare fans.

I'm still on my first playthrough of DA:O and I really want to complete this DLC before completing the game. I'm not interested in ME 2, I'm not playing any other games at the mo and the lack of communication is certainly frustrating.

Even if we just got an eta, I'd be happy...

Hehe (I get out..sometimes..I have a dog I have to :P)  well being that I deleted all my characters and am starting over from scratch, I'll still be busy with DA:O.  Personally at this point ME, ME2 don't interest me..maybe later.   Think I found the source of the error messages I have been getting ..so maybe it will work better this time around. :)

Remember the last ME1 DLC? It was delayed and silently released. They were probably ashamed for its low quality. If anything goes wrong BioWare sticks its head in the sand. I never bought that one because of BW's attitude. This time I have already paid for the 400 points after the initial release date was announced. I assumed that they would never make the same mistake twice. Seems I was wrong. Not going to do that ever again.

I agree, we PS3 users havent heard anything about anything, and now i´m bloody sick of it.
PC and Xbox-users even has their own tech-forums etc! It feels like Bioware pooped in a box
and sent it to every Dragon Age-playing PS3-user. Maybe they didn´t want us to buy the game
at all in the first place. I may sound harsh but this discriminating beavior from the developer
makes me a bit sad. If you release a game on three different platforms at the same time it´s
your F*****G DUTY to release the updates and add-ons AT THE SAME TIME too.
Thanks for the words, like someone´s going to listen.. :alien:
