Oh they are not going to make it free, they've lost enough money on it already, if they were a smaller game company and this were not a AAA game this DLC would have been canned by now, but if it never comes out, it would be a black mark against Bioware's rep, at this point though the Doctors Ray and Greg have to be furious with the DLC problems with both DA:O and Mass Effect. Quality matters to everyone at Bioware, the evolution of their games over time is proof of that and i have no doubt that all of the people working on these games are horribly embarrassed by what's happened. I think the lack of info is either due to an edict from the top where they can't say a damn thing till it is done and working perfect or due to holding for as prime a release date as possible. Both of which would be nice to hear but probably not go over well with the vocal minority, hence the silence. I have a feeling if we are going to hear anything it would be mid next week.
What are you talking about?? They even admitted there was NO problem with RTO and it was a problem with the patch that came with it for the 360 users...nothing is wrong with RTO..they are just holding it because they FEEL like it and not talking to us since it has been 5 days!

Screw the DLC, where's the console patch? We've waited a ridiculous amount of time compared to the PC brigade.
The "PC brigate" had to wait 6 months more to play the game in order for you to be able to have it as well. Just saying...

Actually DLC Quality would prove the contrary, given the recycled trainwreck that was Pinnacle station... If there's only one thing for which quality didn't matter for Bioware in the past, is DLC.

I applaud your selective reading. But if you actually bother reading the forum, the "vocal minority" is the ones defending bioware "a l'outrance" in this debacle. The vast (and i mean VAST) majority is quite disgruntled with the delay and even more with the lack of communication.
Funny though that the Bioware defense force uses this strawman argument to defend them further "they don't give us many info because if they do the boogeyman will eat them!".
Please, let's be real. Everyone wants them to give some informative communication. They haven't (while they had no qualms taking our money in advance of course) And the fact that they haven't is entirely their responsibility.

AND, in addition, the majority of us with better things to do are busy playing Mass Effect 2, so your numbers now look larger by comparison.

Abriael, the only reason why your interpretation of the dissenters on this forum is as high as it is, is because you absolutely dismiss any arguments that don't support yours.
Which is exactly the same thing you do. Pot meet kettle? Not that I expect people to bow down to my arguments and just decide I'm right. I noticed that many "stalwart defenders" seem to expect that. Guess bowing down is something they're used to do.

Oh what a nice excuse. Everyone has other things to do, my friend. Luckily, playing ME2 doesn't mean everyone forgot about dragon age, given that many here consider it a largely superior game.

Well, Bioware, you win. I, and my resolve to wait, are defeated.
I still love your RPGs and your writing team is a credit to the industry, but your “Community Managers” don’t manage their community very well. Food for thought.
See you when Awakening comes out.

Maybe you should read this topic better. And give a look to the tons of RTO dedicated threads that are popping up in the forums every day. That'd broaden your horizon.
Enlightment is always a good thing <_<
But hey, if you think that taking people's money and then give them no information at all is the professional thing to do, more power to you. luckily most people around here don't seem to be that much doormat-ish.

So sorry, but I'm much too busy to be spending my time here every day....unlike some people.
Oh, and for whoever is complaining about 5 bucks..............they need to ask for a raise.
::Awaits Abriael's predictable comeback.....yawn::

It's not a matter of 5 bucks or 500 bucks. It's just a matter of principle. When a company encourages the customer to pay in advance, keeping the communication channels well open is the bare minimum they should do.
Since 5 bucks is nothing, shall I give you my paypal adress so you can send me some?

Posting here and talking about Return to Ostagar has zero effect on the outcome of its release, and therefore I'm not sure why we bother. Due to the severe lack of communication it's becoming obvious that this thread is nothing more than a means to keep people in one place; keep everyone and their negative comments all in one thread; minimise forum clutter; maintain radio silence and hope the problem and the dissenters will eventually go away.

Yup pretty much the lay of the land now have to agree. Not sure why the Community Managers are so tightly reined in...maybe there's a good reason..or maybe not. (have pre-ordered Awakening too
