ME3's romances were complete ****.

The Laura one was good. :)

Laura?

I'm sure they were. The romance content I experienced was high quality, in my opinion. My issue is with the gross imbalance of content in favour of heterosexual men.

The romance content for Miranda and Jack is laughable at best.  Don't act like they got special treatment or anything

Miranda's was fine. Jack's is the one with issues.

Her death by break up begs otherwise

So ****ing what? I don't care if a particular romance is poorly-written, that has nothing to do with why I dislike the romance in ME3.

I might be able to tell you if someone spent the time to make a chart that shows the molecular composition of Kossith sweat.

Not to mention that their counterparts that were available to FemShep, Thane and Jacob, were handled much, much worse. Jacob cheats and gets another girl pregnant while Thane (Heroically) croaks.

A gross imbalance which does not exist when you consider the percentages of human population in regards to sexual orientation.

Why should I consider that? It has nothing to do with Mass Effect, which is a work of fiction.

And if you're trying to tell me that same-sex relationships are rare or taboo in a setting where people regularly date outside their own species, I'm going to laugh, and then

Sexual Orientation shouldn't be the prime factor when developing a character. It can be part of the character but creating a character just to satisfy a demographic is a bad move. I should be able to like a character for who he/she(inb4 sexist) is instead of liking a character for their sexual orientation. I might be a gun toting, cocaine snorting Australian xenophile but I am not that shallow.

1.  Most humans will never see an alien in MEverse
2.  You have no proof for anything regarding %'s of s/s relationships in MEverse

So? It's an optional path. Not an issue. Things that you don't do make it bad?

I want BioWare to make a game where there is only one romance. Homosexual, one character only, the rest may tease but tell you to ****** off eventually. And I want it integrated into the game's main narrative arc where the sexuality of the character is of some importance as to how the romance arc unfolds. Like if Bastila were a lesbian-only option. Or if Alistair were gay (inb4 Alistair jokes).

That would be truly courageous on behalf of the LGBT community IMO. I don't get the BSN, where people talk about BioWare being good writers or pro-equality, when at the core, it isn't about equality for the sake of representation or a positive image.

Really, they just want to bang all the things.

The funny thing is that you don't even need player-sexual romances to present a pro-LGBT message or to represent LGBTs. Platonic companions work, as would important NPCs having a non-hetero sexual orientation. Why does it always come down to sex/romance? Pretty telling, IMO.

Do you really have to be such a d*ck, Plaintiff?

Seriously. Who else here is "spitting" in YOUR face. You're showing your true colors.

No romance scene, little romance-specific dialogue, etc..

Thane Dieing was not the issue. You knew he was going to die  soon with in the first conversation with him. It's the little sceen time before he died that was the issue.

I'll behave in any manner I feel is warranted.

Am I supposed to be offended that "my true colours" are those of someone who demands fairness in videogames?

nah, Iron Bull will accept anyone, provided they can pass several grueling tests of strength and endurance to show they're capable of surviving the encounter.

Nope, that was her "romance" content.  I've played through it a few times
