I'm sure they were. The romance content I experienced was high quality, in my opinion. My issue is with the gross imbalance of content in favour of heterosexual men.

The romance content for Miranda and Jack is laughable at best.  Don't act like they got special treatment or anything

Miranda's was fine. Jack's is the one with issues.

Not to mention that their counterparts that were available to FemShep, Thane and Jacob, were handled much, much worse. Jacob cheats and gets another girl pregnant while Thane (Heroically) croaks.

Thane Dieing was not the issue. You knew he was going to die  soon with in the first conversation with him. It's the little sceen time before he died that was the issue.

Giving him one scene and like one or two talks isn't fair. The point was that he was taken away before anything really important happens to him. And when I say important, I mean something unique to FemShep who is romancing him, kinda like the talks that Garrus or Tali would have with Shepard who romances them.

representation is an important thing, i think its plenty valid. 

These games are supposed to be character- and story-driven. Wanting a specific character for the specific reason of a specific sexual orientation has nothing to do with character or story. Being gay is not a character. Sexual orientation is one single facet of a personality. Reducing characters to their sexual orientation is just lousy writing and asking for it just shows a lack of good taste.

Mirandas romance has to be one of  the worst romances in history. Jack is just a disgrace.

1.  We see alien/human-alien relationships in areas where there are both!!!Call the press.  Most humans will never leave Earth or other predominantly human colonies.  In ME3 we seee that not all families are accepting of these relationships either.
