The ending song should really compliment the tone and ending of the story. If it is sad, so be it. But I think people will rage if they have a sad ending, so maybe Yakety Sax will be appropriate.

This for DA:I credits song.

Seriously though, I disagree. If a credits song makes you cry it's probably a sign it was a good thing that you just finished.

And what about tears of rage?

You can be a big fan of music, you can appreciate the sound of art, without feeling the slightest urge to cry over it.

People cry not because their unhappy and depressed but cry because their happy.

That wasn't the point. Just because some people don't cry over such things, it doesn't mean they are less able to appreciate music and art overall.

I've never cried to a video game before, I plan not to either.

Come at me Bioware, make my day.

@Naughty Bear, have you played The Walking Dead?

None of my friends managed to get through it without shedding at least one tear.

Perhabs this is the masculine side of me thats writing up this thread, but right after I finish playing DA: O with my first charecter I was already emotionally involved in the story. My charecter fallen in love with Morrigan who later saved my life but it came at a big cost knowing that I will regret it later in my Wardens life. Now I'm reading the credits still in RP mode (even in OOC the song forces me to sqeeze out a tear) with sad music playing in the background and I can't help but to produce some man tears from my eyes, and I'm not the kind of person who would produce a tear over a PC game.  Same goes for DA2.

BioWare no teary credits music, please! :) Put some heart pumping music on instead :)

During the end credits of Inquisition, Macho Man Randy Savage will appear in your home, grab your console/PC, smash it on the floor, scream, "SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM" and vanish in a puff of electric guitar riffs.

That would be exceptionally impressive, given that he passed away last year!

Na. So what? The music touched you and you cried. It's no biggie.

Lightweight.

Or the opening montage from Up.  That is frikkin' depressing.

Oh god. That was truly terrible.

I would've accepted the summoning of the :police:Village people:police: during the end credits of Inquisition to sing me Macho man in my room  It would increase my masculinity skills.

Recent games that have made me at least tear up:

Telltale's Walking Dead game (Last episode basically)

Mass Effect 3 (Mordin on Tuchanka), (Ash/shep at the end in the extended cut) and (parts of the Citadel DLC)

The Last of Us (The prologue), (Last chapter)

...

Try to make DA:I have that much emotional impact and I will name my first born after you Bioware.

If nothing else for players who actually beat the game they should get an option if they choose to watch the credits  a song, or an audio comedy commentary track with have some of the characters over the credits instead of a song, (something like Jade Empire with some funny lines of dialogue from various characters just more of an actual converstaion than a few lines here and there). This should be a bonus for gamers who finish the game and shouldn't be accessible from the credits on the main menu.

Again it should be a option. There should be a button if people want hear the song, they hit another button for the commentary, and a third button if they want to skip the credits. I generally don't watch the credits more than once due to the length of them, but I might be more inclined if there were a fun bonus for me.
