They better put some damn emotional song after the ending of the game - which will hopefully be awesome.

I didn't find the credits songs of the Dragon Age games exceptionally good so far. They were okay, but nothing could beat ME1s credits song so far. Only thinking about it makes me hate ME3 so much again for ruining a series that started of that awesome T.T

I have to admit that I'm in the "Never cried during any game so far" crowd, eventhough I get quite emotionally involved in games and sometimes are close to tears, but I never *really* cry.
At least as far as I remember right now... but Mordin in ME3 was definitely a close one.

And that one scene form The Last of Us... only watched an LP but i still nearly cried.

I also don't cry because of songs alone. I get emotional, yes, but crying is something I do very rarely in general.

Oh, I totally agree!
I cried (sobbed!) at the end of my first playthrough ME1! It was very emotional, and i'm gratefui Bioware for that!

If I got drunk, I'd have to confess to something suspiciously tear-like at the end of DAO. First and only time I've ever gotten that close to getting all emotional about a game.

Thankfully it's too early in the day to be drunk. As you were.

Perhabs this is the masculine side of me thats writing up this thread, but right after I finish playing DA: O with my first charecter I was already emotionally involved in the story. My charecter fallen in love with Morrigan who later saved my life but it came at a big cost knowing that I will regret it later in my Wardens life. Now I'm reading the credits still in RP mode (even in OOC the song forces me to sqeeze out a tear) with sad music playing in the background and I can't help but to produce some man tears from my eyes, and I'm not the kind of person who would produce a tear over a PC game.  Same goes for DA2.

BioWare no teary credits music, please! :) Put some heart pumping music on instead :)

During the end credits of Inquisition, Macho Man Randy Savage will appear in your home, grab your console/PC, smash it on the floor, scream, "SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM" and vanish in a puff of electric guitar riffs.

Like a Baws!

Happy celebratory music wouldn't go amiss if the ending was happy.

I loved the credit songs in both DAO and DA2.

I'm not a big fan of the artists in both cases, but the songs were very appropriate for the credits, particularly when watched after finishing the game.

Keep it up. Need moar. :)

The song is too exhilarating. I would cry, when they would have included something like "May it be" from LotR.

Have you ever wondered that it's because men choose to hold them in out of that false notion of "masculinity."

Yes, actually and that's exactly the problem, as I see it. I grew up in an extremely "traditional" (read: racist, prejudiced, sexist, close-minded, religiously dogmatic) family. I have seen family member after family member just kinda... assimilate the views of their parents. They don't question them. They don't think about what it is they believe and why they believe it. You realize this when you ask the older people about their specific brand of bigotry, they justify it, ****tily but hey, they at least try. When you press the younger generation for why they believe what they believe, they wind up just kinda shrugging their shoulders and go "that's just the way things are."

I can respect a well-developed, well thought out worldview, like you seem to have. I may not necessarily agree with someone's worldview but I can respect it. What I can't stand is the people who have absolutely no independent thought and just mindlessly regurgitate what their family/culture/society tells them is the accepted, absolute, all-mighty norm. "That's just the way things are/should be," is not a worldview. It's the worst kind of thought terminating cliche and it needs to be killed with fire.

Buuuuuuut... this is totally off topic.

Any game that has a significant storyline needs an emotional ending song. Songs during the credits kind of put the cherry on top of the whole game, in my opinion.

Is it a spirit or a demon possessing his body during all this?

So if you were selecting the end credit music you'd pick 'The Seeker' by The Who, instead of the more emotional ' Seekers who are Lovers' (otherness version) by Cocteau Twins?.
