I think I only cried when Alistair was a douche and insisted on slaying the archdemon himself. The ending credits/song didn't hit me at all, probably 'cause my taste tends to be on the sad side so I'm used to it.

I did like Leliana's song, but the lip syncing was so embarrassing and there were graphical bugs with Oghren being stuck in Leliana's legs so I always skipped that scene. :D

During the end credits of Inquisition, Macho Man Randy Savage will appear in your home, grab your console/PC, smash it on the floor, scream, "SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM" and vanish in a puff of electric guitar riffs.

Pre-Order Confirmed  : D

And let me thank you for resurrecting the Macho Man Randy Savage.

Perhabs this is the masculine side of me thats writing up this thread, but right after I finish playing DA: O with my first charecter I was already emotionally involved in the story. My charecter fallen in love with Morrigan who later saved my life but it came at a big cost knowing that I will regret it later in my Wardens life. Now I'm reading the credits still in RP mode (even in OOC the song forces me to sqeeze out a tear) with sad music playing in the background and I can't help but to produce some man tears from my eyes, and I'm not the kind of person who would produce a tear over a PC game.  Same goes for DA2.

BioWare no teary credits music, please! :) Put some heart pumping music on instead :)

Are the credits like that for everyone is or merely for Lord Raijin?

Touchy?

"I'm not calling you a liar" from Florence may be touchy, but "This is war"??? I think it was just about perfect for the credits after all that slaughter, women and songs.

The credit themes should be in accord to the tone of the ending, you can't just expect to hear a "hardcore" theme if there's a gloomy ending.

I really thought the ending song for DA:O was appropriate and great, but I really didn't like the one at the end of DA2. Seemed too big a shift from everything else and dragging in a popular song for the sake of it being popular - and this is someone who, despite acknowledging DA2 had a lot of flaws, enjoyed the game as much as DA:O and really doesn't get the severe overreaction DA2's flaws get.

I've never really cried because of music in games but music in movies is different. I sometimes become a mess of tears when I hear this or this.

One of the reasons I play vidyagames is in the hope I'll end up a weepy mess at the end.

Awwww, yeah, bring on them manly tears.

How about some more techno music with dancey quotes from the game.

Anyone remember the end of Baldur's Gate end credits with Tiax?

Actually, people with Asperger's Syndrome feel more for fictional worlds and are more likely to get all wrecked over sad endings or songs.

As for touchy endings and songs, I like things as they are. I like a game that can hit me where it hurts, emotionally. :P

You must learn to control your sorrow, destroy it, and become fueled by the rage of bioware for daring to attempting to manipulate you with their music.

Only than, when you have released your anger at any and all musical cues can you become a true sith gamer.

I want the game to go stomping all over my head, like a bull in a china shop(including link since the reference might not be entirely obvious).

In all seriousness, if I feel like an emotional wreck by the end of the credits, all the better.

Just yesterday at work, I'm listening to my iPod while unpacking crates, and "Rogue Heart" from DA2 comes up. A montage of all Hawke's companions flashes through my mind, all the great, fun, heartwarming and tragic scenes from the game, and a minute later I'm dodging behind the receiving room carts in the hopes that none of my co-workers will notice I've got cry-grimace.

If I'm not crying my my eyes out in a fetal position by the credits, Bioware has failed.

Good, fitting credit music really helps me appreciate the game more once I've finished it. I just hope what they choose will be appropriate.

Both DA games had amazing credit music. I shed a few tears when 'I Am The One' started playing, and also the second half of 'the Coronation', which is during the epilogue www.youtube.com/watch. Florence and the Machine rarely disappoint - a perfect song to end DA2.

I still think www.youtube.com/watch in BG2 is more emotional. When it plays (seeing your companions + their fate) it's very moving.

I Am The One is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I looked it up on google and I found this little bit of information I felt is worth sharing:

"The game features an orchestral soundtrack with choir, used both in-game and during cutscenes. The tracks were composed by Inon Zur and performed by the Northwest Sinfonia.[62][63] The song "I Am the One" from Dragon Age won "Best Original Song" for a video game at Hollywood Music in MediaTM Awards. It was composed by Inon Zur and Aubrey Ashburn while being performed by Aubrey Ashburn. Dragon Age also won the award for "Outstanding Music Supervision" at the Hollywood Music in MediaTM Awards. The award was given in the name of Simon Pressey, audio director of BioWare."

I hope we see a return of this music in DA:I.
