Question to all out there that have reached lvl 30. I have played ME2 since it was released. But yet at the end of the game I always hit lvl 29. I go out of my way to any system that's out there and complete those missions plus the manditory missions as well. I leave no stone unturned. So with that in mind, could someone please help out on reaching 30 for the first time.......Yes, at the end of the game I push forward, or restart the game to reach 30. But to be frank, it's no fun...

Do you have DLC such as LotSB, Firewalker, etc.? Do you do the little 50 point quests like Liara's two little hacking things, combustion manifold, lost locket, etc.?

I have no idea if you can get to level 30 on you first run through without an import from ME1. With an ME1 import and completing the game once (long service achievement) it is quite easy to reach level 30 long before the end.

Yep, I have all the DLC's so that's covered. But I'm not importing ME1 because I really don't find that game enjoyable to play. But same ole same ole, I reach 29 and that's it.

Once you have completed the game once, then every new game you play will boost the experience you gain from each mission by 25%. So a 1000 point mission becomes a 1250 point mission. You also get bonuses to starting resources and money. This is the "long service achievement." With that it is easy to level up quickly. Basically every major mission (not the little side missions) will take you up a level.

I can't remember if my first time through got to level 30 or not. Besides, I used an import which boosted my starting level a bit. (Level 2, I believe for a level 40 ME1 character.)
