 Hey, so I've looked in a bunch of places, and I can't seem to find an answer for this crash error.

In the final run of the Citadel, when you're running to confront Saren, there is one part where you face a Krogan Warlord with a Geth Destroyer or two. Right as you turn to the right, there are two geth, and a blockade of kinetic barriers.

Everytime I pass the barriers, the game freezes.
I've loaded from three different saves.

It happens every time. I've adjusted settings, and it changes nothing.
Anyone have any suggestions or help to offer?

Given you got through the rest of the game fine, a corrupt install seems the most likely thing. If you bought the game on-line, your Direct Download service might have a verification system you can use (e.g. in Steam right-click on ME and select Properties, it's a button under one of the tabs). Otherwise try re-installing. Just make sure to back up your saves first if you re-install, I don't know whether or not it's apt to delete that folder with the rest (My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Save).

I've got a similar problem and a re-install has not helped. I'm 20 hours in and it crashes every time at the same spot while battling on the reaper ship. I've updated video and sound drivers, uninstalled, reinstalled and patched the game and nothing works. Even tried restarting the mission with different cohorts and reloading from earlier saves. No luck. I'm running the retail (boxed) release on Windows 7 64 bit and my system is way over the minimum specs. Please help. Thanks!

I have just started having the same problem on the reaper ship. I keep hanging or even crashing with a blue screen at the same place. I have run the game through 3 times with no problems, but this time I have schanged my load out and the difficulty level for the game and am experienceing this problem. Did you solve your problem, or just quit playing?



I am using a vista 64 bit system. I am goin to change my laod out again and see if it helps at this point in the game.
