Like runes,orbs,statues,magical artefacts,totems,spellcasting amulets,tomes,skulls,divine symbols(Maker's sun burst)

runes, but used as weapon
(runescape orb, use your imagination to make it more round)

orbs

idol but we need safer version(deals area damage around attacked enemy)

statue(it could be used as offhand weapon that will give you and your friends some kind of buff{heal over time, magical barrier, etc.}, in close range it will be used for stunning an enemy{hit him with stone statue in head})

totems(deal constant damage)

skulls they are dealing entrophy damage(long living races are resistant)

amulets used for magical attacks or enchanted by spell(more powerfull spell, lower firerate)

tomes used for magical traps or other spells that are not in spell trees
artefacts-magical items with unique powers(like huge knockback wave around its user, or constant concentrated light beam)

divine symbols-magical items with unique powers(concentrated light(energy) beam)have bonuses against demons,or other supernatural beings

Words are the greatest weapon anyone can wield. ![]()
But seriously I would like for more than the majority of weapons being large swords, plus I would like smaller weapons and more variety of one handed weapons and they must also include a small Hammer called Crom Faeyr.
What I have heard so far about the Weapon crafting systems sounds good and would mean you could have a lot of different weapons. If they take away Class restrictions on weapons it will be even better.

I hope there is going to be some one-handed warhammers, I hated how there were only two handed versions in DAO and DA2. Not to mention them being completely oversized.

Regarding "girly" weapons:
Having no opion on this in previous games, I have been spending my time waiting for DAI playing GW2, and can I just please say that no matter what you decide to do with the weapons in the long run, please do not equate feminine (which I think we should have weapons that are feminine) with pink, rainbows, unicorns, whatever. Weapons can be beautiful without looking like a 5 year old girl made them.
I think the ability to customize color and shapes would be great though. I want sleek weapons for the rogue that are delicate looking but powerful. That would be on my wish list.

I want to see some polearm weapons.
Like a pollaxe or a halberd. Get some stab smashing action in this game!

GOD I hope there will be no Asian weaponry.
May I ask why? All it will do is add another option for those who want it, while those who don't can sell them to merchants to make more gold.

Until they add an "Asia"/"Orient" (or its functional equivalent) to this game world, there would be no reason for such types of weapons to exist.
That said, I am far from against them doing so, at some point (although I don't think it will happen in DA 3.)

Oh, and I almost forgot. Sabres. We could use more curved swords in my opinion.

As far as I can tell there's a pretty good range that they briefly showed off in the inventory menu, mauls, great axes, great swords, maces, hand axes, staffs, looks like Varic has a trench knife, and the normal weapons like swords, daggers, bows and probably a lot more than that which is what one of the devs said aswell so the variety seems be fairly good amd might be a lot better than we think, not to mention how much we can customize them.I have to wonder what the range will be for weapons since we are now able to customize them.
Also we should be able to make some of the weapons posted in the thread.
Unfortunately crossbows are out for now but they might be out at some point, but just not at launch due to additional animations that they would have to do.

I agree, they need a plot reason to do so. That or have it in the weapon customization thing so only those players who want them will ever get them since they'd have to make them.

I can't wait to use it, personally. The idea of using a weapon or armor set that you personally created sounds fascinating.

There is nothing wrong with a bow that shoots ponies, it is suppose to be fun and ridiculous because all the legionaries are like that, ridiculous.
And weapons are not more feminine or masculine or any other gender. If you like them you use them, if you do not like them, you do not use them. There is not need to tag a gender to a weapon. And I am happy with all the strange and funny weapons on GW 2.
I would say they should stick with a more realistic aura in therms of weaponry in DA.

Yeah, I'd love to have the weapons, but I'd prefer to have the culture behind them as well.
