Personally, I'd love to see some legacy weapons from titles like Baldur's Gate II and Neverwinter Nights.  I know we want Bioware to stay away from rehashing the same old ideas, but I see nothing wrong with a few items sprinkled in that are inspired by some of the more memorable loot from prior titles as a nice little nod to longtime fans.

I mean, how fun would bright blue electric Dragon Plate armor rendered in Frostbite 3 be?

Until they add an "Asia"/"Orient" (or its functional equivalent) to this game world, there would be no reason for such types of weapons to exist.

That said, I am far from against them doing so, at some point (although I don't think it will happen in DA 3.)

As i sayd before Old Gods cult could have sutch weapons
Dumat could teach them how to craft best swords

Unarmed combat would be really nice. That would require lots of animations, but I think it will be worth the effort. DA:O only provided a fist fight which was kind of disappointing. DA2 didn't even have that option at all, which for me it was even worse.

Unarmed fighting class (or warrior spec) could be really cool. Of course, their fists and defense would have to be spirit-empowered, something like Spirit Warrior/Lyrium Ghost. Otherwise their fists and body stand no chance against bladed weapons and plate armor.

Double-bladed weapons, definitely. Something like this:

And definitely not this (i wanted to puke, when looked at this horror of design):

In my opinion what the DA franchise direly needs -in the weapon department-(Aside polearms) is more elegant weapons. Most weapons in DAO and especially DA2 looked like oversized, cloddish, clumsy tools with no finesse in neither function nor design.

Knuckle dusters. A proper duelling staff. While I favour western weapons, Tonfa could be nice for rogues, with some throwing knives (not kunai).

I guess this was talked about already, but it's incredibly weird that a world based on ancient warfare doesn't feature pole weapons. Spears were probably the most common weapon of them all.

in real history kunai wasnt throwing weapon if was used to weaken walls before siege or to break trough wall and get into house siletly

i want long knives like this one but with longer blade (it used to be one of most common weapons in europe during middle ages)

no whips, no scythes, no throwing knives, no double-bladed monstrosities.

I'm changing my vote. I'm now aiming to get Greek Fire into the DA universe.

Really? Awesome. If that means I'll be walking around with a mobile flamethrower that is.

Handling two swords for the warrior. I really missed that one in DA2.
