I see a lot of sexy, naked, hugging, twirling, kissing threads, etc. And while all of that is good and dandy... I truly hope there never is a Bioware game that pays too much attention there. There are dating games out there. I'm sure of it...

I think those elements just add to making a good story, but yea I see your point.

Look, I don't want it to be a Dating Sim either, but I think that every good story needs a certain degree of love and romance.
So far I liked Bioware's approach: while they didn't dominate, they added nicely to the main chars personal story.
For example in ME3, when Shepard is completely devastated by his last dream, and Tali says she will always be there for him.
Or in DA:O, when Morrigan is in a relationship with the Warden, she reveals that she developed real feelings for him, and that it became more than a mission given from Flemeth.

This is what makes a story feel more... real to me.

People do make dating games in Flash. I don't know if there is a market there for one that isn't free, but if there is, some company will make one. It's kind of like the Rule 34 of capitalism. If there is Demand, someone will Supply.

I want a dating sim that ends when your boyfriends blows up a church and you have the option to shiv him or go on the run from the FBI with him.

Just once, Bioware should make a game where you get your powers from, and only from, completing romance side quests. The entire game's central mechanic should be about going out on dates during the day, then fighting monsters at night. Not entirely unlike the recent Persona titles.

And just to balance it out, the other team can make a game with no romances at all.

I want a Carbon Dating minigame in DAI, if you can correctly estimate an object's age within 1000 years, you win.

Of course there are. They're called The Sims.

Why not make this the hardcore difficulty?

Not remotely similar to the recent Persona titles either. That's a rather simplistic, observational explanation of what Persona is.

"Not entirely unlike" does not mean "same as." I like Persona 3 and 4, don't get defensive.

There is an easy work around OP... plain yet simple and very effective, don't initiate that aspect of the game. Or are you just trying to apply your preference on everyone else. I've enjoyed them in most of BW games from BG2, Jade, Kotor and even in Hordes of the Underdark expansion for NWN >>>> onwards. If anything, I wish they had more depth.

I must have missed the part where I said it was.

They should have more depth. because Saints Row 4 mimic'd Bioware romances perfectly :D

Hot coffee mini-games for Dragon Age Inquisition! Let's fully embrace this insanity.

Oh, I enjoy the way Bioware already does it. It adds to the game, but they've certainly added enough.
