Is it just me or are you still annoyed with the ME3 endings?

There is no middle ground here. Either you're a blind Ending lover or you're a realist that acknowledges that the ending was horrible and Bioware failed to live up to their name. That and acknowledging that Bioware's "PR" and mass bannings on the forum after ME3 didn't help their image at all.

despite the dis-taste talk of the ending, Sovereign's warning was actually true...[---> Virmire]

and the warning of the Reapers invasion....despite the:

ah yes, "Reapers" we have dismissed that claim.

The Reapers did come and Sovereign's warning was in honesty came to manifest.

Most here know that the Tali fanbase is "special." Fortunately they have pretty much all left the BSN so never again will we be graced with Tali sweat posts and other such outrages.

Tali and Garrus (or any alien) romances should never have been added.

If they must exist, I'd at least hope they wouldn't have been bangable. Ah well.

Thankfully most of the most obnoxious Tali haters have left or got themselves banned so we don't have to put up with their butthurt outrages. So it's all good. :innocent:

Sovereign did warn us! [the end of us was inevitable]

:o

and  also that Batarian  Mad Prophet on Omega [ME2] was in honesty not Mad, he was preaching to the crowd but his "preaching" was in truth...["the end is nigh"]

so...

ME [1] = Sovereign's warning
ME2 = Mad Prophet's warning
ME 3 = our inevitable death

...sad, but true

:o

"I have brought peace, symbolism, Deus Ex, and speculations to my new ending!"

"Your new ending? Bioware, the ending should stand for closure, for consistency!"

"Don't make me kill you..."

It is what it is. Right where I left it one and a half years ago.

The only solace I find towards it is through EC + headcanon, reading the Marauder Shields comic, or imagining that everything after Harby's blast was a hallucination happening in Shepard's mind (not necessarily IT. Just a hallucination from being mortally wounded. I craft my own resolution from there).

Spoken like the guy who kvetches to all his friends about what a horrible person his ex is...but then drunk calls her at 3 am saying, "Baybeee I luvz ya!  plez takes me back I caint live wit'ut U! <sob><sob> <blow nose loudly><sob>"

And gamers wonder why people don't take us seriously....

1.5+ years later...."The ending is still horriiiibblleee!  It's the WORST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE  HISTORY OF  THE UNIVERSE!!!!  Hitler was an ANGEL compared to Mark Walter's!!!"*

*hyperbole in effect;  see 'reducio ad absurdem'

So the ending sucked.  So what.  You've cried us a river; now build a bridge and get over it.  That is what ADULTS do; they roll with the blow.  Children stomp their feet and demand they get what they want because they deserve it because they want it.

And btw?  I don't love the ending.  I though it was ok, but could DEFINATELY been better.  I even wrote a post about HOW it could have been better, in my opinion.  However, I AM a realist, and realise it's just a game so I moved on.  Being a realist, I'm more interested in REAL issues that concern us.  Not the ending of some game.  Anyways, you're wrong about there being only 2 sides...the 'blind', and the 'realist' who naturally agree with you because you are soooo smart and handsome and always right.  Plenty of people take the middle ground.

The Troll blunders on with belly bloated!
The foolish feed; the bait they've taken!
Barbed comments leave bystanders goaded,
Thinking they've won, but they're mistaken.

Misinterpretation, misrepresentation abounds;
With brash generalizations he does whip up the flames!
The heat of their hate burns threads to the ground
While the malicious dweller plays his game.

Unproductive?  Yes.  Fun?  Also yes.  Heck, lords know if I unleashed my erudite rants on people who deserve it...such as my boss...I'd suddenly find myself with a LOT more time to fool around on the forum!  At least here I can't be fired <LOL>.

When hate burns, is it at war?

No, she merely has a strong fanatical following that ignores her faults and pretends she's a better person than she is. Fact is that Tali isn't lil miss perfect, that's Liara.

Oh yeah and I'm sure Liaramancers acknowledge her stalker like behavior in ME2. Seriously stop trying to say characters are better then others. No one has the same taste. No fanbase should be labeled any different then the others.

Funny you say that since alien romances I'm pretty sure outnumbered human ones largely.

Can't we all just get along. Arguments over fictional characters are so silly, to be honest. Isn't six threads enough for today?

I agree on fighting over which fictional character is best is silly, but some of these anti Talimancer claims have been so ridiculous I felt a comment was needed. Nothing wrong with stating why you don't like a character, but labeling entire fanbases as spammers or saying they are the special ones is another ball game.

I'm definitely still disappointed. But now, it's more a wistful "what-could-have-been" feeling more than actual rage or whatever.

I'm not not necessarily dissapointed the endings themselfs, but more the trainwreck that is the Mass Effect trilogy as a whole, with special thanks to Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.

Most people here hate the endings. Where is your god now?

Yet there are still those like you.

Also, don't bring religion into this.

Peace friend! This kind of hostile behaviour what you demonstrate here is the very thing which will make your unfriendly remarks about the people whose opinions differ from yours ironicly ridiculous. Maybe you should try being polite first if hostile behaviour annoys you so much.

Secondly, try to learn that people are different and they may have diffrent, sometimes opposing opinions. They will write about it just as you write about yours. As for forcing opinions on the others: it happens from both parties' part. People who like the ending will always try to defend and show you (yeah, some of them passionately or even harshly) why, just as you people who hate it will always try to convince everybody about your point of view, just as passionately, sometimes harshly and forcingly.

So please let us stop pointing fingers at each other.

What I'm truly amazed at is the very fact that after one and a half years after the release we still have to discuss this very same topic, running in circles and telling nothing new to the other. I think we should all move on to something more mature and interesting: it is very well known already that the ending is hated by many fans, as are their complaints about the ending. It is already known that many fans are happy, or at least ok with the ending for their own well known reasons. And there's still a sky above the Earth. But it becomes a bit funny and sad when intelligent people keep repeating themsleves about such a  minor issue (in terms of life) like mindless parrotts, like this thing was the centre of their lives or the world. This is just my two cents.

I, myself like the trilogy very much despite it's obvious flaws. Maybe it's not for you then. Have you tried The Witcher yet?

You're foolish if you don't believe there's a difference between all the other fanbases and the Talimancers. Bioware cursed us all when they made her a romance because of what came after.

What's the difference to any other fanbase? No one thinks Tali is perfect, she has many flaws(bad leader, overly emotional etc). Her flaws just make her a more realistic character, she's no Mary Sue. I don't think BW made a mistake, when Tali's romance turned out to be one of the most popular ones in the series.
