I eagerly await the quote in which I said Bioware directly said everybody is happy

but nice try crono

Backpedaling doesn't work when what you said is still in the thread.

1. You said in BW's mind, everybody is happy.
2. Someone challenged you on this.
3. "Do I have to quote Jessica?"

Either you posted a non sequitur or you're wrong.

because my statement was worded to highlight a flaw in bioware's thought process or a flat out lie....read above

So what's the deal there? Not everyone in BW is happy about it? Or they are?

the PR voice of Bioware says that, according to unpublished numbers, people did not actually want what the forums were clamoring for

(the everybody referred to the outside of bioware, not the inside)

Annoyed? After  almost 2 years?

I wish I capable of such bitterness.

Well, time to time when I think for some singleplayer to play and playing mass effect series again, because I loved them, I remember how badly the horrible ending killed any replay value, and can't be bothered. That still makes me annoyed.

Ditto.

Why not turn around Eterna5's comments and ask why people who were happy with the game are still happy with it? Why haven't their feelings mysteriously changed with time? Because it would be very strange if they did of course, just the same as for people who realised what a mess it turned into.

Ah, I guess the vast majority of players don't care then... or thought it was a good ending.
I always wonder just how they get those opinions from people though, since it doesn't seem to be based on the forums - and most likely not on fansites either.

It always makes me wonder if they just do some generic survey to gauge for interest in their new games.
"Do you believe a heroic death to be a good way for a game to end?"

1) I strongly disagree.
2) I somewhat disagree.
3) I don't care.
4) I think that'd be pretty cool.
5) Heroic deaths are awesome! I want to see more of them.

And if the numbers from the general public, who might not even know what Mass Effect is or care in slightest, support that 4 & 5 are the big winners then that's what they decide to go with.

It'd be really strange if forum users were just like the majority of players on this topic. We poll very differently from what Bio's tracking data shows for every other question. Why would the ending response be any different?

I wasn't that annoyed in the first place. It was bad but i did not find it to be the trilogy destroying catastrophe everyone else seemed to.

considering how 2/3rds of this board is dedicated to complaining (sometimes even whining) about the ending, of course you are not alone

Yes. Some people, including myself are still fairly upset with it. Like some others, the longer the time goes by the more detached I become. I expect some ending anger to bubble up agian once ME 4 draws closer, but the Mods will keep that contained rather quickly with the "Please post in the ME3 threads. Lockdown!" So yeah..

 It's You :P

I'm playing Saints Row IV, and -to be brutally honest- couldn't care less about the odd ending of ME3.

I like the endings regardless of hates and negativity. They're fine, not the best, but fine. Let's just say the EC made us hate it a little less. I don't hate it though.

It is still crap. Cerberus cyber Jebus dies for the sins of organic kind and joins/controls/destroys the Reapers. This all written in a quality comparable to Matrix 3.... Wooo neo matrix emo ending! He dies for us mannnn... Sooo deep and realistic!

Well there is one good thing about the ending...
I don't act like a hamster-on-coffee (like I did wating for ME3) when it comes to ME4, because I couldn't care less at the moment.

Oh mah gawd. I distinctly recall the waiting for ME3 feels. I don't think I have ever been so excited for a game. I remember proudly going to Gamestop to pick up my preorder and anxiously waiting to go home as I had class all day. Ah good times..

note....all this is based on numbers bioware refuses to publish and gathered in ways bioware does not want to explain or divulge

whereas pretty much in any other corner if the internet the atmosphere seems to imply the opposite (hence the original sarcastic tone)

then I'd LOVE to see these magic numbers and how they were obtained and an explanation of why the casual crowd which generally does not care and is not invested would be upset if Bioware acquiesced to give people a reunion scene (and please no be talking about respecting the IT or allowing people to let their Shepard die, I already explain how either argument is moot)

I only remember it was something about the ghost of christmas-past, japanese food and and clint mansell´s tears dropping on a piano.

What´s wrong with that?

If you're still sad or even just annoyed by a game ending from over one and a half year ago, you should seriously re-evaluate the way you're living your life.
