 There was already atleast one cancelled DLC for ME1 (Caleston), but do you think if MS was still the publisher of the series we would have gotten more DLC? Before ME1 was released they always talked about how they would add more planets and systems via DLC on XBL. Obviously we didn't get a lot. EA probably didn't want to focus on a game they didn't have full rights to (UNtil 5 years later), they would have had to give much of the DLC money to the original publisher, MIcrosoft (Who, contrary to what you may hear, did own the rights to ME1 even after the buy out, check the bioware logo on the platinum hits cover )

I would like to think so but I have my suspicions that we still would have ended up with just Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station.

I don't know why but Mass Effect 1 just doesn't feel like DLC would fit well into its story for me.
