My display handles a resolution of 1920 x 1200 for a 16:10 aspect ratio. Unfortunately, NWN2 only allows 1920 x 1080, or 16:9. As a result, the pixmap graphics scale poorly, showing defects. Does anybody know if there is an app. I can run NWN2 in that will restrict it to 1920 x 1080 on the screen with black bars? Thanks.

I have an option in my graphics settings (nVidia) that is meant to force game windows to display in their own aspect ratio, rather than stretch them by different amounts in the X and Y. It's been known to actually work on occasions. I've never tried it with NWN2 though.

I am not at home but I have a 1920 X 1200 screen and I got no problem with NWN2, I have the resolution listed in the game option.

There was a thread here some time back about getting all the display options to show up, but I can't find it now. In any case, you can enter your own resolution in your .ini file.

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave that a try but it didn't help.

That did it. I set the dimensions to horizontal=1280 and vertical=800, then it scaled correctly with black borders above and below. Thanks!

Between your 18 minutes ago post and your 8 minutes ago post, I did find the old thread:

Alas, it pointed to a post on the old forums, now defunct - but the WSGF.org link still works (if you want to see a few shots of different resolutions in action). Ironically, the poster louthelou was trying to get rid of black bars. Heh.

why don't you use 1680x1050 which is a higher resolution and also in a 16:10 aspect ratio?

Yes, the resolution would be better, but all of the graphic image text would be shrunk way down. My eyes aren't as young as they used to be...

That looks interesting. Thanks for pointing it out.
