That's no indication that he's Lead Writer.

Given his past position as Lead Writer on ME2/3 it seems reasonable to assume that.

Given that BioWare is actively recruiting a new Lead Writer for their Montreal studio, it seems reasonable to assume otherwise.

Walters and Karpyshan were co-lead writers in ME2

As I said, Narrative Director is probably an advisory position with no ultimate authority. Someplace they can still get input from Walters while keeping him out of the limelight.

Hopefully they will ignore his input

Narrative Directors do have authority, they're basically in-charge of that area

And I'm sure they can also write for the game if they choose to, but I could be wrong

But this is getting off-topic David, if you truly wanna discuss this make a thread of your own

They're not putting Walters in charge of that area. Look at how much effort they're putting into making sure he's completely absent from anything ME related. He's not going to conventions. He's not talked about by other staff members. They haven't even mentioned his comic on the official Mass Effect and BioWare twitters!

Look at all the silly stuff they bother to talk about. You'd think they'd at least mention the release of the new ME comic.

They're clearly trying to keep him out of the spotlight. He's not going to be in charge of anything.

Has the mass effect/Bioware twitter ever tweeted about the books/comics? (I'm asking because I don't know)

They can just be down playing his involvment, doesn't mean he's not though. He is still writing those comics even if they're not talking about them.

I think we all remember Casey's thoughts on Deception.

Why would I want to read ten or so comics about Brooks? I'm just going to end up shooting her in the back anyway.
This is...incomprehensible. A one note character present in a single DLC is being given an entire comic book series? Just...why?

It's like ME3 itself:

It doesn't matter what we want.  All that matters is the story they want to tell. ;)

Welcome to every story ever told.

Lol.  Basically.  "Oh no" - the people who develop and spend their own time and energy have no right to develop what THEY want.  I die when I hear "All that matters is the story they want to tell."

Honestly, I just looked it up on the Wiki

There was literally no reason to add Cerberus

I think adding in Cerberus was a retroactive attempt to address the consistency of the role of Cerberus (they were just a small group in ME1, but in ME2/ME3 they're "capable of anything").

I don't really like the idea because I'm already conscience of the fact that the writers did not plan Cerberus's role ahead of time. I didn't actually read the comic yet, though.

Oh the synopsis is up. Looks like Wrex had a shoot out in the Wards and C-Sec just let him off with a stern warning when you meet him later.
