Oh yeah, I usually have to switch hands for the QTEs, my left hand can't mash the keyboard fast enough.
Yeah had to do this aswell for the more intense QTEs.

The 'Awkwardness and Grotesqueness' is strong in South Park RPG and I'm not amazed by story and the world itself. It is simply a fighting simulator that after each fight you get stronger and get more abilities.
Not gonna get it before finding a reason.
Well, it's South Park. They filter themselves far less than the competition, so it's not going to work for everyone. The 'Awkwardness and Grotesqueness' is strong in South Park RPG
That sounds fun to meIt is simply a fighting simulator that after each fight you get stronger and get more abilities.
Yeah it seems so and yet everyone likes the game! I've watched AJ review and read the so called biased gamespot review. My conclusion is It has just the humor and fighting simulation with few RPG elements. It has 15 hours potential gameplay with 1 or 2 replaying value.
And we have a game no one likes:
Despite being dumbed down in many aspects and smaller world comparing to older M&M games, this games is actually fun (forget rushing into sections you're not supposed to go in lower levels) and has more RPG elements and a story compared to South Park. Consider that M&M X isn't my favorite and I might give it something about 7/10.

Wait... I literally suggested you desert that game and play this one! lol
I never bought it - the gameplay hasn't really changed much in comparison to its predecessors, so I didn't feel much incentive to play it. It looks entertaining and it's easily the best South Park Game, but I think I'd rather just watch it from the comfort of YouTube. XDYeah it seems so and everyone likes it! I wasn't expecting something that Black Isle Studios/Obsidian did back in the day, and that was the better choice in my opinion....and has more RPG elements and a story compared to South Park
Really having fun ![]()
Probably 1/3-1/2 through Day 2. Mage with Fire/Electricity specialty so far. Level 10-11 already because I'm doing a lot of sidequests. About 10 hours in due to exploration and grinding. I expect this to last 20ish hours given my pace of RPGs (ME1-3 takes me 40-60 hours each). I would have hoped for 30-40 as an ideal but a 20+ hour RPG isn't horrible in this format.
This game seems built for episodic DLC. Sadly, they probably won't happen.
What might be better though is if their sales are high, encouraging a more refined sequel that could support itself with expansion DLC over time (with totally different stories lasting at least a few to several hours each).
Really enjoyed the game until my 'saving progress function' simply stopped working. Can't really play until whenever that is fixed if ever.
The save system was pretty terrible. The game only saves at checkpoints, manual saves don't save progress past a checkpoint, they simply create another save at your last checkpoint. I remember doing a quest at Skeeter's Bar, then after that I ran around outside getting more friends/loot. I saved my game, but it showed up as a save in Skeeter's Bar when I came back to resume my game, so I had to do all the running around again.
Finished it by staying up way too late last night! Guffaws galore!
I really want to play this game, but for 60 bucks I'm not so sure. Can anyone tell me if its worth the price or should I wait until it goes on sale for like 40 bucks or so?
Saves, and my unfortunate game-breaking bug, have left me a bit wanting. But what I did play, I had a blast with. Will try another play through, once some of the patches for the 360 come out.
Glad to see most people had (or are currently having) fun with it.
If you hold down Left/A or Right/D, do you hear any changes in pitch? Just curious if it's simply the GUI not showing up.

If you're a fan of South Park, definitely. But if not, then I'd recommend it only if you can appreciate crude humor used as a form of satire. If you're not sure, might be best to wait a bit so it's less risky.
Disregarding my last complaint -- I am having a blast with this game. So much fun.
The summons in this game is pure win ! as is the silly humour though i hate to admit it, i feel like 8 years old again when i play this game lol.

Depends on what platform you want it on. I didn't get any bugs when I played through the PC version, but I've heard that the PS3 version doesn't work nearly as well. If you're planning on getting it on console, you may want to wait for some bug fixes.

From what I can tell it looks like something I would enjoy. I like the absurd crude humor of south park mixed with the old style turn based gameplay.
I think I will wait though just because I don't have that "Must play now" mentality. It definitely looks like something I would try out once its gone down 15-20 bucks in price. Thanks!

I'll take your word for it. Pretty much everything I think I know about the PS3 version's reliability I learned from the comments sections of internet articles on the game.
Whelp....got a game breaking bug in SOT.
Spoiler
Oh well....
I had that issue too, it didn't seem to register my inputs at all. Eventually it worked while I was clicking the right stick in and pulling it down, not sure if that's what fixed it or if it was just a coincidence.
Alright Allan, talky talky, how much did ya enjoy yourself?

Much guffawing. I'm a big fan of the show and and some of the amazing references to some of my favourite episodes, like Lemmiwinks, was pretty spectacular!
Hmmm.....well, I did try clicking, pulling, pushing, spinning, and button mashing. LOL! But, I have had bugs that have "cleared" themselves by pure luck. Until a patch comes out (if one for this problem ever does), I will periodically give it another go, and see if I can get past it. Thanks for posting your experience with this.
If you haven't already, you may be able to find some luck/work arounds on their forum here: http://forums.obsidi...poiler-warning/
Anyone tried to summon Mr. Slave inside of Mr. Slave? I'm surprised when a trophy pooped out. Just finished the game today, man, Kyle is a beast. His summon deals ridiculous damage. I can understand why he wasn't available in the beginning.
