Just to be clear, that means if I set enemy interplocspeed to 10 I'm getting the 'full PC experience™' if I play at 30 FPS, right?Annomander wrote...
FailQuotes pls, it's bioware's variables which count here.
Simply adding an extra 0 to the enemyinterplocspeed variable causes the enemies to become inordinately dumb.
Removing the 0 from the default 20 (reducing it to 2) gives your AI "aimbot".
AFAIR, "enemyinterplocspeed" = 20 means the enemy AI gets an update on player locations every 20 frames. Meaning, at 30fps, the enemy updates your location every 0.66 seconds. At 120 fps, it's every 0.166 seconds... hence why the AI is dumber at lower frame rates, it's nothing to do with code really, it's a static variable which makes the code do what it's supposed to, with huge variance depending on frame rate.
Other Unreal Engine games probably do not use similar variables, though there will always be a dip in AI performance at lower frame rates simply due to lack of processing power.
And don't kid yourself FailQuotes, there's no way you play anywhere near 120fps, not after that performance vs fasterthanftl, no self respecting person with 120fps fails that badly.

Hmmm, yes, and no. I do believe processing power will still throttle the AI to some degree, but if you change it to 10, theoretically, yes, the enemy will be updating your location just as often @30fps as it does @ 60fps.

so is AI handled by the GPU or the CPU? (sorry if this is a noob question.)Annomander wrote...

Both, to a certain degree., though predominantly CPU. As evidenced by the PS3, certain things caused by the AI: smoke grenades, collector possession effects will put the GPU under strain.
Like most games, GPU speed is inherently tied to your CPU. A computer tends to only be as good as it's worst component.

Should be on the CPU. Also I would have figured if any throttling occurs from setting loc speed to 10, it would be evident in further reduced output framerate.ISHYGDDT wrote...

I wonder if WiiU players have issues with collectors.

Also, you aren't going to fix your perceived problem with Infiltrators by nerfing the guns that casters use.
I can write a hello world program, can I now tell BioWare how to do their jobs?
Also @AirQuotes you do realise that in actuallity the more powerful kits (in terms of ease of use which true overpoweredness should be based around) are (obviously) the Kroguard and the Juggy. I have NEVER seen a random do well with the GI or AIU, in fact I've never seen a good TGI Harrier in all honesty outside of a select few "BotB" score****rs on Platinum... and most of their kills came from Wave 11 missilling... IF the GI was one of the most overpowered kits in the game then surely I should have seen more people outside of the really good players (SPECTRE, Team AreleX, a few others on here I've played with) make it shine. I'm not debating that it's powerful but it's hardly "one of the most" overpowered when there's clearly a factor of skill required to play it.

I am not so sure on Battlemaster. He is tanky, but he isn't an offensive powerhouse or anything unless you slap on a couple weapons that do too much damage per weight and happen to have extreme synergy with close range characters...
I think the problem with the kroguard is that sooner or later everyone runs into a cookie cutter reegar-kroguard player and all of a sudden realises; hey, that guy is invincible and killing EVERYTHING. I wanna be like him!

Pfff. I know about that interpret my loc speed thingy. Caratinoid told me about it months and months ago.
Also, keyboard knight, show us your Platinum duos. Wanna do one now?
I don't duo with scrubs who can't even complete a game, or get a 20 headshots medal using a GI talon... Remember, that really OP character that you still failed with?
And don't call other people a Keyboard knight either, it makes you look desperate, particularly if you have no IRL photos, or you refuse to tell people your name... I guess that would make you the "keyboard knight", huh?
I'm sorry you idiot, but I did get 20 headshots. Both times. So. Eff off.
Guess you're just camera shy. And no, on the screenshots I saw, there was no 20 headshots medal. Not difficult, is it?
I may be an idiot, but what does that make you? People prove you wrong, time and time again, yet you still keep blindly repeating the same BS, without any logic or facts to back up anything you're saying...?
Yo stupid ass, you gonna make Spitfire false fact claims again?

Can't help but notice that you get an assists, kills then a weapon kills medal before 5 headshots.
I didn't follow your whole shameful display with FTL, it got embarrassing to watch after a while.
Also, Fission Mailed? SkillQuotes pls.
As for the spitfire thread, I made it pretty clear that the spitfire was a competitor for the typhoon on the trooper. This is true, ergo, I did not make up facts. You are the one who read what you wanted into what I wrote, and refused to acknowledge what i was saying. I remain right; the spitfire is more than a competitor for the typhoon on the trooper, and that is all I said.
Your lack of comprehension is truly astounding, and calling someone an idiot after some of the moronic posts you've made in this very thread?
Ironic, to say the least.
